Buck Alpha Scout Elite Black (0662BKS-B/13782)
Handle is very comfortable and can fit a full 4 finger grip well. Comes with a great edge from the factory. G10 is well textured and grippy but not too aggressive. Kydex sheath is low profile and secure. Included belt clip is chunky and mine can't be securely connected to the sheath because the female fasteners are too long for the screws to tighten down against it. The 662 is listed as being 6.5 inches well mine only measures 6.25. Machining takes off some length but on my 664 it was 1/32, not 1/4. One screw in the handle came slightly corroded. Slightly disappointed in the hiccups as this is a fairly expensive knife, however I'm still quite happy with it overall.

Shun Kanso 5 Pc Starter Block Set (SWTS0500)
These were purchased as a gift for someone, so we haven’t really used them. However, the package arrive very quickly, and the knives and butcher block were well packaged. Although this was a gift, we couldn’t resist opening one of the knives and slicing a tomato. It was like a hot knife going through butter - no sawing motion at all. Very impressive. I leave 4 stars, only because the ends of the handles look a bit rough rather than being sanded smooth.

The finishes are great, action is smooth. Size is large enough to do the job but also portable. Sharpness out of the box is OK

Came in pretty fast maybe 2 days? Anyways I love this knife all though I would've liked if it came in a box or a pouch instead of wrapped in paper but it came super sharp right out of it

Boker Magnum Border Forest (01SC719)
If you're looking for an EDC that doesn't look like you want to murder someone, I think the Boker Magnum is a great option. Also a great "fidget" knife. I would say it's upper-mid-sized, but thin and light enough not to feel bulky while offering a very nice blade length. Its chrome accents and touch of color on the lanyard hook give it a distinctive look. Opening the knife is easy and smooth, but to me, it's closing it that is most satisfying. At the push of the button, even when holding the knife upright, the blade slides back into closed position on its own. Blade feels secure when locked open and has good sharpening potential, even if edge retention isn't the best I've ever seen, but for the price, you can't go wrong.

Kizer Militaw G10/Micarta Brown/Green (1067A2)
Factory edge wasn't exactly sharp or consistent for the bevel, initial release so there are always quarks to be worked out in production. Otherwise fit and finish is great, it took a very fine edge when sharpened to 20 degrees per side. Micarta has a very nice soft texture to it and the g10 is as expected. Overall 4/5 seems fair given the factory edge and bevel.

Shun Kanso 8" Chef Knife (SWT0706)
Upgraded from Canadian Tire quality kitchen knives, so there's really not a good comparison. It takes much less effort cutting veggies for canning, chicken for grilling, pumpkins for pie, the list could go on. Great finish on the blade and handle. Expect to enjoy it for many years. It's not nick proof so use your honing steel regularly
