I am a great fan of Buck knives and bought this one for my grandson's birthday, as it is a family tradition. I was told on your website it was a 2 day priority shipping. I took almost 2 weeks and missed his birthday. I am hugely disappointed.

Wow what a nice and great knife! I am a collector and a big fan of WE CIVIVI but SENCUT are blowing me away! The Pinguin is light, open like Rocket and the blade is useful and nice shape! I have many SENCUT and i am happy to had this one with them! A most have knife!!!

First off, generally this knife’s fit and finish is what one should expect of a knife at this price point. It’s generally very ergonomic, and the deep finger choil is among its best qualities. It gives me confidence to use the knife without as much worry about the hand slipping forward under game field dressing. The overall blade shape and length and scale design is quite good. A few minor gripes: 1. The rearward jimping on the blade between the handle scales is almost useless. The G10 scales placement mean that the rearward jimping almost no vertical profile to provide grip, and I think the rearward jimping also is slightly larger in “tooth” size, giving it even less ability to provide grip. The forward jimping is much, much better. Secondly, the bottom edges of the G10 scales are heavily scalloped, which is good in one way, but the edges are sharp enough that I think with heavy field dressing use, they are going to create hot spots on the fingers. I think they were intended to be sharp edges for reasons of adding to the grip retention, but if I could re-design the scales, I would increase the depth and grip of the checkering finish. My other gripe (more significant): the Kydex sheath’s retention of this knife is not horribly bad, but it’s far from what it ought to be. It does not provide fully dependable retention of the knife for carrying at the belt (especially in horizontal carry position as I prefer to carry my fixed blade knives while hunting. This means one has to put a lanyard through the lanyard hole at the knife tang, to secure the knife to the Tek-Lok belt loop while the knife being carried in the field. It’s far too expensive a knife to risk losing it to a stupid and avoidable reason like that. Buck should take a learning page from Finnish knife maker Terava on how to make a Kydex or Boltaron sheath that properly retains a knife on its own, without need for a securing lanyard. Overall I do like the knife quite a bit, and I am glad I purchased it. But for this price point, these issues could and should have been addressed (would be simple fixes both on the jimping and the sheath retention at least). Thanks.

1 thing I would say is the crossbar lock sticks out past the scales more than I would like.

The knife is excellent, though the sheath came broken when delivered. When I was putting it away it fell out of the sheath and sliced my finger open, within 30m of having it. Overall all the blade is flexible, extremely sharp, and with a fantastic handle and grip.

Good ergos with a contoured micarta handle, a slicey drop point blade and fantastic gimping that also makes the front flipper work like a charm. The blade hole gives you three options for opening the knife and the weight and colorful accents make it fun to carry.

Very nice, good action, lock bar lock is superb and the price is good.

The hinges very loose - And the case is so tight, you can barely take the insert out which damage the insert!

Nice little knife. I have nothing bad to say except this sheath. It sucks it pulls out of pocket with the knife limits your carry options and magnitizes your knife. Never thought that would ever be something that bothered me. I will probably try making a kydex sheath it looks pretty simple to work with but a magnetic leather sheath is only good for upsetting hippies and environmentalists who probably think animals are slayed for the hide and the rest discarded. But a kydex sheath with a couple carry options would make this an edc fixed blade option that would work for just about anyone.

Great Laconico design. Feels great in my big hands. Love the green burlap micarta. First front flipper, loving it and thumb stud is a great alternative. 14c28n is a winner quality budget steel.

Personally do not have a practical use for this item, as it was a free gift. Have not used since purchase of knife. Would have preferred a reasonable discount code (5-10%) over the free item. Cool idea but not for me. Thank you.

Giantmouse makes a few good knives. This one leaves something to be desired. The color is Hershey chocolate brown(not bronze), the lock is tough to push, action is O.K., Blade is not very sharp. Definitely way better knives out there for the money.
