Spyderco Dragonfly 2 Orange FRN (C28POR2)
Delightful little knife.
No bells, no whistles, just a collection of good decisions.
The knife itself is pretty tiny, but the finger choil and gimping on top let you choke up on the blade in a pretty natural comfortable fashion for great control. The shape of the handle sits surprisingly nicely in the palm even in big meaty paws like my own. The knife come out of the box satisfyingly sharp and ready to tackle any task that an uncool dad can put before it.
My only legitimate complaint is that the carry clip is not as "Deep carry" as I would have preferred. The knife also features a back lock which makes closing one handed a little gnarly, but again, it is sure and secure. The knife is all the way in, or all the way out, as it should be.
4 stars for supremely competent function.
Slightly grumpy about the clip and a cooler lock mechanism would have been great, but I understand that you can only pack in so many luxuries to a competent little knife at this price point.

Kizer Saturna Titanium CKG Anniversary (99/A)
I mainly bought this to support CKG, but once I opened it up, I couldn't put it down! Suprisingly lightweight for its size, and it is balanced very well. Thumb stud deployment is a breeze, and the front flipper is substantial. The action is amazing, with great lockup, no side to side or up and down movement, and once you clear the detent ramp, it glides shut extremely smoothly. Whether you're in CKG or not, this is a great knife to add to any collection. Blair knocked it out of the park on the design, and Kizer killed it with the execution. I haven't found any issues with the fit and finish, and it came razor sharp. Grab one while you still can!

Spyderco Dragonfly G-10 Foliage Green (C28GPFG)
As with most Spyderco knives, this little Dragonfly is built for real world use. It has a very solid build and reliable blade lockup. The VG10 blade has trusty characteristics for the size of this knife as well. I’m overall very impressed with its functionality. Thanks again HoK.

Kizer Cannoli Micarta Multicolour (1089A1)
Nice change of design. I like the idea and size of a backup blade you can pop in your pocket or keep anywhere. However, I think they failed on the actual blade. It has really weird geometry. It's a very thick chisel grind which I can run my finger up and down the blade edge without worry about getting cut. I was hoping it was sharp enough for a backup blade but it's more of a mini sharpened pry-bar.

It is a chunky knife with some heft to it. Detent is soft, and could be better. Fit and finish is good. Priced to high for what is it.

Kershaw Leek Blackwash (1660BLKW)
It's been a month of use...Scary sharp out of the box. Beautiful to look at, precise action. Painful to buy for a guy that that is a "value concious" buyer of almost everything, but I really do love the blade. Never going to be a collector of knives, so this might be the most expensive knife I ever buy. Bought ceramic rods and a strop and compound to keep it as sharp or sharper than the day I bought it. If I were going to say anything negative, it's that it came in cheap, cheap packaging for a pricey blade. If I lose this, I'm going to buy another, exactly the same make and model.
