Very sharp knife and comfortable to ise

So this is my 4th EDC knife. Overall I like it though there are a few things that bring it down from being 5 star. First is the price. After using it for a while I think this price should be more in $100 range. My other comments are in the context of price. If the knife were cheaper I don’t think I would even mention them. First the quality control is a bit of an issue. After 3 days of playing with it one of the screws dropped out. Luckily it fell into my hand and I quickly screwed it back in and tightened the rest of the screws. If I lost the screw outside I would have been pissed. I’ve had QC issues now on both the American knives I’ve bought, this and a Kershaw. My second issue is Benchmade’s choice of using titanium for the lockbar. Once the black paint wears off of it you can feel the bar grind against the knife tang. It’s not the end of the world just annoying on a more expensive knife. Benchmade should have opted for a steel lockbar. The last thing is not really a problem but surprising. This knife is unbelievably light. A little too light for my tastes. There is no traditional frame on the knife - just the plastic scales. Makes it feel unsubstantial.

My comparison point is the Civivi Elementum. For $100ish I would consider that knife to be superior in QC and build.

That being said I like the look of this knife, the axis lock is amazing, it disappears in the pocket and the knife was sharp as crazy out of the box.

Update: after using the knife for a while I want to adjust my review. The grinding I experienced has gone away with use. Basically the paint has been removed through use and there is no more grinding. Also I now prefer using this knife to my civivi.

Great little knife, solid construction and love the quick release button for quick cleaning
