A bit bigger than the Elementum, just as comfortable in hand, and super fun to fidget with. Great knife for the price.

I just purchased and received the COLD STEEL MASTER HUNTER 3V (CS-36CB). The price was excellent and shipping was free and it came incredibly fast. I am very pleased with the service of houseofknives.ca

However the blade sharpening on the Master Hunter was poor, bordering on crude. The primary edge on the blade tip was malformed with a weird aborted curve. The primary edge itself was sharp but with a coarse scratched finish like you would get with a rough grinding wheel. The back of the spine was crude with deep cut marks running horizontally along the whole length of the knife. I was very disappointed when I opened the box, especially after waiting over 9 months for this knife to come back into stock.

I thought about returning it but didn't because I might have to wait another 9 months for a replacement so I reprofiled the blade's primary edge with my Spyderco Sharpmaker with diamond hones. I then honed the blade edge with coarse and then fine Spyderco ceramic hones and put a mirror finish on it (only the primary edge and the back of the knife spine). Now the blade is amazing and it is a high quality CPM-3V! It took the better part of the afternoon to do this and I shouldn't of had to. In my opinion the quality of Cold Steel has gone down drastically if this knife represents their current hurried efforts to pump out the blades.

Unreliable for holding Damscened blades. Needs more strength- I’ve come home to find my knives on the floor on more than one occasion.

I am grateful to HoK for responding so quickly to my need to replace a lost pick, This one seems to be a bit longer, but it fits the slot fine. One caveat: the 'hook' at the wide end is too small to enable my thumbnail to slide the pick out! I have to use the small screwdriver to dislodge the pick.

My 6th or7th Osbourne Axis. Just a great knife. The carbon fibre is definitely cooler that the aluminum. Can’t say it feels a lot lighter. Hope in don’t loose this one.

Fantastic knife, very well built

I got 2 versions of the elementum. The G10 and the Button Lock G10.

Button Lock version:
Longer handle than standard G10
The black blade finish wears
The button Lock is high enough that it won't be accidentally pressed with normal use, but could be if the handle is choked up on.

Standard G10:
Shorter handle means more compact.
Had a larger guard than the button Lock version, which makes it feel a bit safer to use when piercing something.
It's a flipper that flipped well out of the box but lost some smoothness after about 2 weeks of fidget flipping it open and closed. The knife was always kept in a clean pocketnosolated from other edc items. I plan to use some graphite dust to address this

Great space saver

Another very nice Benchmade product. I bought this mini because I needed a smaller blade, and despite the smaller size, the handle works quite well with my larger hands. It’s a gorgeous piece, and I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another. The handle material is surprisingly sturdy and looks surprisingly good. I wasn’t expecting to like the scales as much as I do. It’s not flashy like some other knives, but it has a more upscale modern traditional flare. There’s lots of room between the thumb screw and the handle for easy opening. I’m really very happy w this knife.

The Kershaw Strata XL is not what you would call a practical knife, but I've always contended that if you're collecting knives you should at least have a couple completely ridiculous blades that just makes you smile. It's thin and slicey for a knife this size, something I wish more knife designers did when they use D2. It's also amazingly fidget friendly and fits in the pocket better than you'd think. The downside is that while you could actually get some practical use with it, most workplaces frown on carrying a pocket machete as an EDC. Probably also not the thing you take to children's birthday parties.
