A great saw in your vehicle, quad, and snowmobile...

I’d appreciate the little gizmo if I were a minimalist camper but I’m not. It looks like a toy for my grandchildren.

The vanchor lock, the incredible blade shape. The 5 different ways you can deploy it. Amazing. So fidgety and incredibly functional. No notes

I bought the carbon fibre + straight black blade online from House of Knives. Excellent order experience and the package even arrived early despite the holiday season.

It's a fantastic knife. As advertised, it has a sleek, low profile. It's very light. I carry it clipped inside my jeans/pants pocket and I don't even notice it's there. The handle fits my hand perfectly and provides a good grip despite being so thin. The carbon fibre (CF) finish looks great and it matches my CF Bastion Slim pen, which I carry in the same pocket. I would have no problem carrying both in the pocket of a suit jacket too and likely will from time to time. The flip action is really slick for one-handed opening, and though thin, the blade is sturdy and came razor sharp right out of the box. I'm really happy with this purchase and this gentlemen's knife has become my default EDC.

But there are a couple of things that prevent me from giving it a 5 star rating:

1) It is not truly ambidextrous. The clip isn't reversible so you can't change the orientation to suit a lefty user for smooth opening right out of your pocket, and the blade has a single bevel to suit right-handed users. Neither are deal-breakers but as a lefty, I expect something described as ambidextrous to be just that.

2) Speaking of the clip, it is short and very, very stiff. I hope it will eventually become more flexible, but for now it is borderline unusable -- as in, I have to pry it up with my fingers to clip it to my pocket.

3) The price. Time will tell for this one. Impulsive me doesn't care how much it cost, because I really like it; but responsible me realizes that I probably could have found something similar for much less, albeit with less "wow" factor. However, I will consider it money well-spent if it holds up after a few years.

So, all-in-all, I recommend this knife for anyone looking for an EDC that is a) functional; b) look cool as heck; and c) low profile and won't raise any eyebrows in an urban or office setting. Don't let the 4 star rating discourage you -- these are minor gripes that probably would not have changed my mind had I known, but I just thought I would share my thoughts on what is otherwise a superb pocket knife.

Built to excel in heavier duties, it snaps to attention with a light flick and stays firm as a crowbar. Full 4-finger grip with my size 9 hand. Can sit here forever fidgeting with it, but the wife would disavow my existence.
Has a wonderful price, presumably to move an unpopular combination of material and colours. The weakest points are the white G10 scales which might crack or chip if hit with a hammer.
Love this thing, so thanks for making it even more attractive with your pricing. Delivery was quick considering it was ordered on NYE.

The left-hand chuck for the Drill Doctor is a great addition if you want to sharpen left-hand bits that might be used to drill out stripped screws. I was working on a stripped set screw and needed to sharpen my cobalt left-hand drill bits which the standard DD chuck does not handle.

It's awesome knife

Just got this new version of the Kizer Sheepdog, the C01C 2.9 BS and Wowsa she is a beauty! Sized between the mini and the regular version is the perfect size in my opinion. This and the superb matte DLC coated Elmax (yes Elmax) blade paired with the brown burlap UltreX micarta scales make it not only a real looker but a durable EDC user as well. Oh did I mention it has a top liner lock!!! Yuppers!! Finally a button liner lock on a Sheepdog! Super smooth and crazy fidgety action! I can’t get enough of it. This is my 4th Sheepdog and fast becoming my favorite. Don’t think about it, just get one….like now! You won’t regret it!

Thanks also as always to HOK for the easy peasy ordering and speedy delivery.

Sheepdog & Kizer forever Baby!!

Wow. Quality meets good looks right down to the smallest details. Fun to flip, smooth and solid mechanism. No loose play. Exact blade symmetry. Perfect Cedar grain pattern on the green and red G10. The color tones are even more pleasing in real life. Sharp like crazy out of the box. Perfect size and deep pocket clip for EDC carry in the field or the office. The tweezers are grabby and hang on tight. Pluck a hair or pull a sliver? No problem. And the toothpick? Thought it was nice but wouldn't use it much. Wrong. My teeth have never been so clean. It's sharp. Like tactical-toothpick sharp. I tested its penetrating power by pushing with my finger into a paper-back book. It punctured pages 1-50! I have a nice little pocket-knife collection, all with conservative black colored scales. This was my first other color knife and I am worried that it's gonna be my favorite...

I received the knife promptly. However, the blade was no where near centered. On one side the scale appeared like it is warped being closer to the blade at the center. That gap was narrow enough to appear like the blade was touching the scale. If it was a $50 knife I wouldn’t care. I have 4 Spydercos and 6 other Benchmade which have blades centered. I sent pictures to House of Knives and they sent me a return label. All I can say is that Benchmade QC isn’t what is used to be and I hope House of knives takes care of me soon.
edit, the aftermath: House of Knives came through. They sent me a return label and exchanged the knife for another one. The seal on the knife's box was cut so I assume they checked the replacement knife which would be appropriate and expected. Thank you House of Knives!

One of the toughest locks and also not too big to edc. The lawman is simple and timeless with perfect dimensions

Absolutely love this knife. Has become my EDC. Thank you

CJRB does a good job on the build and pricing the overall quality of their knives is very good .

Very nice knife, solid! And the Seller is awesome and very Fast to ship

These cloths are horrible! After one wash the print is coming off and they look awful!

Was successful during deer season. This knife stayed Sharp throughout the process. Felt great in the hand!

Outstanding premium version of the Raccoon with a bit more solidity and heft but all the slicing geometry the Raccoon is famous for along with the fabulous detent and now V Anchor lock. The total premium package. I love my regular budget Raccoon with Micarta scales and 14C28N steel but even this great knife is outshined by the premium version. I am so surprised we could get such wonderful limited editions here in Canada through House of Knives…just goes to show you the greatness of this retailer here in Canada. Speedy shipping and great service as always from them!

Fantastic

I've only had to use it once since my purchase, but it is highly effective. Glad I've finally found a tool to take the guesswork out of sharpening knives.

Game changer. LOVE IT!
