Installed on my daily commuter S73RX and totally transformed the bike. Running both mid drive and hub motor for easily cruising 35 mph with twice the range. Easy to install and preferred going through Luna vs Amazon for the customer support and quality of the battery.

The Sur-Ron is one of the most expensive "e-bikes", but well worth the price. The build quality far exceeded my expectations. I frequently have strangers complimenting me and asking me about the bike. I'm often asked if it's a motorcycle (especially with the super moto wheels). All of my neighbors want one after riding it (even the ones with Super73s or other e-bikes).

The bike is super versatile. I can reach 45-50 mph (GPS verified) if I want to drive on the street (I have it registered as a moped in California). I can take it on bike trails with the Kaniwaba pedal kit (of course be respectful with your speed with other bikers/pedestrians). Compared to hub motor e-bikes, it has plenty of torque to offroad, go up hills and haul my family for family rides. My wife fits behind me on the seat and my daughters ride behind us in our Burley bike trailer.

Acceleration is strong up to ~30-35mph and then begins to drop off pretty hard with the stock controller/battery. My dragy times for 0-30mph with the 17" super moto wheels and 42T sprocket are consistently ~4.5 seconds. The 0-40mph time is almost double at ~9 seconds. The brakes will need to be upgraded if you plan to regularly use it on the street and go at vehicle traffic speeds. Be prepared to get sucked down the modification rabbit hole. It's addicting.

Note:
Keep in mind that if you get the super moto wheels pre-installed, you don't receive the original chain & sprocket. The super moto 42T sprocket results in a slightly taller/lower gear ratio (less acceleration/torque) even with the 17" super moto wheels. The super moto chain is also lower quality (noisier) than the original. I recommend buying the super moto kit separately and reusing the original 48T sprocket & chain (yes, the speedometer will read a bit higher than it should). The extra torque and performance gains are worth the minor discrepancy in the speedo.

This bike is amazing. As advertised and very well put together. Worth every cent.

Doesn't fit you have to bend in shape to fit. So I return it.

Great replacement for the nylon gear

Great connector, vast upgrade over the cheap chinese connectors on my controller. No heating under heavy load, and not a spark since the switch.

The X2 is working out to be exactly what I was looking for. You can’t beat the value for what you get with this bike. Large battery, smooth suspension and power! The ability to adjust the programming with the ludicrous controller is nice. I only have a little over 200 miles on mine so far but can’t wait to take it on some trips to the mountains. Thank you Luna for bringing a product like this to the market.

Luna Eclipse Folding fat tire e-bike. I purchased a pair of them in black and silver for my wife and me. So far we have gone on 7 10-mile rides and absolutely love these bikes. We live on a good size hill and this bike can easily handle this hill which is 1 mile long with an elevation gain of 500 feet. We ride up in Pedal Assist level 3 and it makes it so much fun. I really like the BMX-style handlebars as they make the riding position very comfortable and makes the ride experience safe and sturdy. Installation was really easy and bike was ready to ride after I pumped up the tires. Great product Luna Cycles we are very pleased.

I am loving my Luna X2! Easy unboxing and minor assembly. Assembly is easy for any one with some bike knowledge and a few common tools, and their videos for asembly and set-up are very helpful. Nicely speced components.

Tons of fun to ride and rip - Highly recommended - check out the forums, Youtube, etc. This is a great bike at a great price. It compares favorably with bikes costing thou$ands more.

The bike itself is spectacular, and exceeds my expectations. However, it did arrive in a used condition with several scratches that were from use. I also ordered the optional light and it arrived with a damaged frame. Oh well, everything works as it should and still very satisfied.

I love the bike . I ride it every day . It is pretty easy to add upgrades . I’m waiting on the super moto tires . I wish they were in stock that i the only problem I’m having . Customer service is Great they quickly respond . Overall I’m impressed !

It works exactly as it should. Looks natural on the bike and the JBL speaker fits nice and snug. The cover has a space cut-out on the side for access to the charging port so you can charge on the fly.

Purchased my Sur-Ron online and delivery was scheduled one week later to Sacramento. Since day one I have ridden almost daily along the American River and off-road on some local trails. Money well spent!! Get yours!!

When I got my new Sur-ron it had a faulty X controller. After alittle bit of time Luna got back to me and after trading emails with a service tech I first sent my controller back, then they send me a new one. I kept some detailed videos of what was happening and that helped the techs alot I feel. Now that the new controller is in, it has been working great.

I waited several months before ordering my sur ron but if you are thinking about it do it! It’s a blast to ride and the performance is incredible.
