Finally melted the nylon gear last night and swapped over to the steel gear. Between the new gear and alot of Mobile Grease 29 The bike is so much more solid feeling. Ill know more after riding it more, but I actually gained 3-4 mph of top speed and the motor is running much cooler.

Well after greasing up the inner workings of my BBSHD and inserting this little piece of indestructibleness, my fat bike runs smoother and quieter than ever. This is probably the most difficult repair you will ever have to do on your BBSHD and is only about an hour or hour and half to do with all of the proper tools. Just remember to put the German lettering side down. Great product and I highly recommend this as a n upgrade too. I wouldn't worry about any additional noise because I honestly have not noticed any.

What’s to say, makes my bike go forward

After purchasing my first e-bike last June, an awesome Vintage Electric Roadster with all the goodies, it seemed like the next logical step would be to build my own e-bike. I purchased a new full-suspension frameset with all Fox suspension and a BBSHD drive kit, whale shark battery, magnesium wheelset, Schwalbe big apples, supernova lights, etc. Everything went together very easy... until I got to setting up the chain line. The stock steel chainring was a total joke. While scouring the internet for answers, I ran across your LUNA CYCLE website for the first time. Wo-la! What a great site, with all the goodies and technical information I needed to finish my bike. The chainline offset was corrected almost perfectly with the addition of your LUNA billet offset chainring set I purchased from you. Not only did it work wonderfully, it looks terrific. When people look at the bike, your chainring is the first thing they comment about. Since this was to be a road bike, I ordered it with the beautiful 48T chainring. The next step was to set up the 9-speed cassette for e-bike use. I started with a 11-13-15-17-20-23-26-30-34t all steel unit, and then disassembled it, and only used the 15-17-20-26-34t cogs for an nicely spread 5-speed gear set. I was able to line up the center 20t cog chainline perfectly with the LUNA chainring, then assembled it with the required 9-speed spacers in between the other 4 cogs. I used 12mm width spacers on the inside of the 34t cog, and just ground the teeth of the 11t cog for the outside spacer, saving the serrations for the lockring. I also used a Box 1 9-speed e-bike shifter & dedicated Box 1 e-bike derailleur. By installing longer adjusting screws in the rear derailleur to adjust the gear stops in farther, and setting up the shifter in 1st gear positioning to start on the 15t cog, everything worked flawless. I love the chainring and you have just earned a repeat customer for my next complete bike build. I wish I would of ran across your site first! Thanks, Dan.

My Luna Charger 52V Advanced 300W Ebike Charger came very quickly and was better than expected as it had an on/off switch which was not present on my previous model. It seems to charge my older battery higher than the previous charger. Love Luna!
