This is an excellent upgrade from the non X controller. Definitely more torque and battery range.

kit worked great. a 10mm spacer would be nice

Those are great copies of my designs, you guys are awesome. Keep up the good work.

I don't think most of the reviews here are for this specific add-on. I love the bike, but this pedal kit doesn't come close to the build the bike deserves. Most importantly, the spindle bearings are very poor quality and won't stay in adjustment - I fiddled with the end play for about 45 minutes trying to find a sweet spot, and within 15 minutes on my first ride they were already wobbling so bad I ended my ride. The cranks and pedals are also low grade. I took the whole kit off until I can source upgrade parts to make the pedals safe and useable. I wouldn't advise buying this kit unless you are a DIY person and can source and install new bearings/cranks/pedals. Otherwise you just made your $4k bike unrideable.

Welding is visible but looks quality. Nice piece of metal to do a utilitarian job. Looks good which is a great bonus.

I love this mid drive provides a lot of power on demand with a 84v 18ah pushing my fat bike with ease . Will buy another soon !

Great battery. Bought it to replace is Panasonic Shark that came with the bike I purchased from Luna 3 or 4 years ago. Shark had over 4000 hard miles and hundreds of charges. It was still working but seemed to have lost capacity. The mounting and connectors on this battery are so much better. I also have full range back.

We ride frequently for 4 months in the winter and occasionally the rest of the year. Our rides range from 30 to 60 miles, depending on location.

I have around 1,000 miles on my first conversion.

I just finished my second Bafang BBS02 conversion.

I strongly prefer the mid drive kits for a variety of reasons, one being they can be easily installed with minimal professional help. I did have a bike shop help remove bottom brackets on both conversions. Bottom brackets on well used bikes are frequently difficult to remove.

One of the key advantages of doing it yourself is that you can convert a favorite bike, or favorite bike type. The industry is mostly making ebikes out of bicycle styles I have no interest in.

My first conversion was a Bachetta Giro 20 recumbent. Recumbents are better in windy conditions, but terrible when it comes to climbing steep hills.

If you have decent computer skills, get the programming cable. It allows you to adjust the motor to your personal riding preferences.

Our motors are set so that at the lowest assist level, our bikes are about as easy to pedal as a light weight road bike would be. Higher levels of pedal assist are gradual increases we use to offset steeper hills and stronger headwinds. We want to get a workout, but aren’t interested in an iron man experience.

It is perhaps non-intuitive, but my legs are in better shape now than before I built an ebike. I now ride on days when the wind would have otherwise precluded riding and take routes I would have otherwise avoided because of a series of nasty hills. Put simply, I ride more often.

We have 13.5 amp hour batteries. I have never ran a battery dry on a ride, but I’m guessing under normal riding conditions I have a range of perhaps 100 miles, give the we use the bikes.

This motor is obviously powerful enough to take all the effort away. At higher assist levels, I pass golf carts with little or no effort.

Awesome chain ring!!
Bought BBSHD kit with stock 46 chain ring, ugly and chain line was too far out for low gears which I need for hills.
This chain ring is well made and looks great on bike and get all gears on bike

sweet !!!

without a doubt the best service..easy to deal with, fair prices...so, yeah 5 stars !!!!!

Very good bag! Spacious, and just the right size to fit between the cross pieces of my bike, carrying my ebike battery, controller, and charger. Highly recommended!

Fast shipment and good product!

Quick delivery worked as advertised.

Was planning a trip for camping and had everything planned out to have my new ebike equipped with is bbs02 bafang engine. Got my bb adapters that I though I needed in before the motor and they didn’t fit. Panic mode kicked in. Luna had the perfect part and shipped next day. Still got the part before the trip (before the battery even arrived). The adapters were nicely packaged, nicely finished, and fit and worked perfectly.

These were perfect for fitting the bbshd to my electra cruiser thanks for your innovation in the ebike world .Thankyou Dave from OZ.🖖

Peg brackets were as advertised and arrived in a timely manner

Haven’t had it on but a few rides but appears to be working great. Not pushing in like the stock skid plate

The mid drive installation tool is handy. No more modifying other tools to do the job or struggling to get the right torque. I can put my torque wrench on and snug the nut and lock nit right on. An added benefit that I didn’t realize was it takes place of other Bottom bracket tools. It replaces my BB-T9 which is a pain to use and you can’t use a torque wrench. It also replaces my BB-T69, which you can put a torque wrench on but bottoms out with any threaded axle (think disk break lock ring adapter for 6 bolt to shimano). I wish I had bought this a long time ago even before I had my Bafang.
