Luna never lets me down. Rocking the Ludi controller on my street machine now, and could not be happier!!!

Great bike and excellent service from Luna Cycle. That said my bike was apparently DOA because of the brake lever sensor, They were loose and the set screws were lose, as I was planning on removing them it wasn’t a big deal. Also the pedal kit I purchased to make my bike “legal” for the bike trail was not good at all, the bearings keepers were lose, The sprocket on the free wheel clutch needed to have a taper ground into it to keep the chain from walking off , the crank arms bent like they were made of clay and it wasn’t even painted . With those issues straightened out it dose keep the bike looking enough like a regular e-bike that I’ve had no issues with people whining about it and a couple of fake pedal strokes seem to satisfy the cops. Those issues aside it really is a fun bike to ride

Honestly, exceeded my expectations in every way. Painless delivery, easy assembly. Poor documentation included from the factory (which was to be expected - there is SO much information online about these things though). Incredible machine.
300ish miles on it so far. Was able to register as a moped in North Carolina, FWIW. Two known weaknesses that I'll foot-stomp on: 1) Tires from the factory are not ideal for road driving, so I'll swap those out with some dual-sport ones in pretty short order. 2) Also, brake pads are a little squeaky, but seem to be breaking in alright.
All-in-all, SO impressed with the acceleration. Comfortably get 20mi range with open throttle on sport mode.

Still getting used to the bike. It’s a great invention. there is a learning curve as it falls between mountain bike and motorbike. The throttle delivers Smooth power but needs to be learned because you don’t want to pop it going downhill in a tight situation. Realizing what Bike can and can’t do. Avoiding too much water around the electronic item… and not expecting it to do the same trails as a mountain bike because of some of the technical issues that would require throwing the bike around. There is nearly 100 pound difference between a mountain bike in this so would not consider them in the same category… But it does deliver solid power and can be used in good climbing situations and holds a lot of battery power. Exploring the best available trails for this new category of bike and where I can ride it in Virginia. Excited to find out. (have some photos can post where wish).

This thing is awesome! Very well built machine. Meticulously assembled. Virtually no maintenance.

Only complaint is the paint job on mine was really crappy and you could still see bare metal and lots of flashing and fingerprints.

Mechanically tho this thing seems very solid and has survived some thorough "shake down tests"
I've ridden some ohv trails and easily kept up with and passed random full size dirt bikes. Espessily in the rough technical areas. Everyone wants to know what your riding when they see how fast and silent it is.

Dropped/crashed it twice with no damage(turn the key off then on and your good to go) (maybe straighten the handlebars/stem)

For taller riders I would highly suggest getting riser bars. I'm 6'2 and the bike felt very small in stock form. With 3" rise protapers it fits much better. Sur ron recommends taller bars for riders over 5'4.

Now I just need to order the pedal kit so I don't have to worry as much about getting pulled over on it!

All in all, a super fun and cheap to operate machine.

It’s RAD

Bought the Sur-Ron from Luna and it’s been great so far. It shipped on time, arrived safely and the small amount of assembly was done in 30 minutes or so.

The only issue I had was some bolts that came loose but putting some lock tight on the threads has resolved the issue.

Bike is well made. I’m around 190 LBs and wanted a little more torque to lug my ass around at the expense of a little top speed and went with the 54 tooth sprocket that Luna sells over the 48 tooth that it comes with. This works well and I’m thinking about getting the 58 tooth as that would help a bit more on steep hill climbs.



I mostly ride on trails.

We love our Sur Ron

As you probably already know, the LBX is an amazing little electric motorcycle. Hell of a lot of fun to ride. Performance is awesome after cutting the black/green wire loop. I am a big fan of DNM suspension. DNM is high quality. Fork is perfect. The rear shock has a lot of adjust-ability. But there are a few things I wish I had considered more carefully before purchasing, and I am going through some buyers remorse. Firstly, the wheels and tires that come with it are junk. You will probably want to replace them if you plan to do hard trail riding and that will be an extra $1k and god knows when Josh will deliver them. A minor issue is the brake pads. The Geckors pads are total garbage and should be immediately removed and thrown away. I once had a brand new Geckor pad de-laminate; the whole pad came of the backing. The organic semi-metal Disco pads have the best stopping power and modulation and they are dirt cheap. But the biggest buzz kill and disappointment is that you will not get an MCO (Manufacturers Country of Origin) certificate with your purchase, which means you won't be able to register the LBX for street use and it will not be street legal. Luna refuses to provide it. I don't know why, its just a document from the Manufacturer printed on fancy paper stating some basics specs about he bike and its VIN number. This is a crushing disappointment. The bike is definitely road worthy and fast enough (50 mph stock) for most roads where I live. As Luna said in the video, the Sur-Ron LBX is for off-road use only. I am building a track around my house and will take advantage of the stealth do some bootleg riding nearby. However, the bike is much louder than I was expecting but not too bad.

Can't tell my friends enough how much we are enjoying our bike. I've rode and raced dirt bikes for 30 years. Back injury several years ago forced me to stop riding and start selling off the gas bikes. Too heavy for me to handle. Didn't get used often enough and always had gas/carb issues as a result. The Sur-Ron has given me a fresh chance to enjoy my sport! The easy of handling, via light weight and controlable power, make it soo much fun. I don't worry about tipping over and have no problems loading and unloading from the truck. My son recently learned to ride and quickly outgrew his 80CC 4stroke. He tested a 125 4stroke and said hands down he liked the Sur-Ron better. Now I don't get my bike back and have had to order a 2nd one. One last selling feature: no more oil changes, carb issues, and air filters to clean!!!!

I have a suron x and I love it! Has great battery life, and very well made frame with good suspension makes it feel like a dirtbike but nibble like a mountain bike! 5 stars!!

this thing is ridiculous!! the value for $$ spent is undeniably better than anything else on the market, and have now clue how this thing is so cheap, you cant build a decent e-bike for the same price.
