I love this kit. Installation was kinda rough because the manuals did not cover all the things that I needed. Also the kit that I got did not have a 6V cable like it was mentioned in the manual. I am still confused on how to connect a headlight for it.

Other than that, the team is awesome, answered all my questions, and even included an N95 mask in the kit for me during this rough covid times. Thank you.

Luna Cycle exceeded my expectations in every way. The price, support and product are all top notch! Shipping was super fast and delivery a day ahead of schedule. The cool graphics covered boxes are fun. They even included a special box of masks and gloves that were also great quality and just what we needed.

The BBS-02 kit went together pretty quickly on our Hase Pino tandem. The plate that secures the motor in place after feeding through the bottom bracket would not take both screws until some metal was ground off one edge of the plate. The Hase Pino is a pretty standard 68mm aluminum frame bottom bracket, and I think Bafang might have the tolarances a little close to try to keep the motor from flopping down. Works great now. If anyone else is doing an Hase Pino with the stoker freewheel on the left the space is pretty tight but does work. I had to get flat-head screws with low profile nuts reversed from the original configuration to allow clearance between the freewheel and the motor casing. Works great with LOTS of power. Even on lower assist settings it really takes the edge off that heavy tandem.

We chose the 44 tooth front ring and a 36 tooth in the back. We recently climbed an 18% grade with no issues. With the lower assist settings we no longer have any trouble keeping up with the other riders in our group and in fact can usually get by with the lowest setting. We did 35 miles the other day including that 18% grade and about 1500 feet of climbing, using just over half of the Luna Wolf 13.5Ah battery. We are still looking for a good way to see remaining capacity since the voltage changes pretty dramatically with the power draw.

I highly recommend upgrading your ride with a Lunacyle motor and battery.

nice bag

This is an excellent chain wear tool for single speed chains that I use in my velomobile. Measures a greater percent wear that for multi-speed chains.

The adjustability of this torque arm made it the perfect product to use in the motor mounted in my Organic Transit ELF. I could adjust the arm so that it used a frame member on the ELF to resist the torque movement of the motor. It's a great value compared with having one custom-made.

Great quality backpack leash. I don’t normally like keeping my battery in my backpack but it was a good solution once I got a dropper post and couldn’t mount my mighty mini battery under the seat anymore.

Parts were robust. I think they are lot better than the original parts. Everything fit just right.

Luna always goes above and beyond. They are a company that really cares for it's customer's!

Exceptional machine quality sprocket. The 54 Tooth Sprocket is the perfect set-up for the way I ride and the things I do. More low-end pep and increased climbing ability, that's exactly what I was after. Takes a 420 x 100 chain to keep from adding or removing chain links.

This 3000w mid drive kit is a beast!!
Runs 44+mph

Tools are great they are worth every penny

An excellent product that lets you have best of both worlds. Charge slowly to optimal level to extend battery life. When needed, quickly top of the the charge to 100% and ride. It's perfect! The is a small fan noise for those who might use it inside. In my garage it is absolutely not an issue.

My autographed Luna shirt is nice when riding and working on my bikes.
Fit is good, fabric soft, & a clever design.

Incredibly smooth ride!! I use it on my daily commuter and have nothing but great things to tell friends about it. Once I get riding, you can’t wipe that stupid smile off my face.

It’s awesome

Excellent customer service and products

Great ride - arrived tightly assembled and ready to rock - and ROLL!!Beach rides, trail rides, street rides, love love love it!

If you are on the fence about buying a kit, just go for it. I spent years thinking about building a kit. Luna and the BBSHD were always at the top of the list but I would either get analysis paralysis or convince myself otherwise. With a move upcoming, and the need to get rid of a vehicle, I finally went for it. My reaction after waiting so long was that I wish I would have done it sooner. While I am not getting to commute like I thought I might (shelter in place due to COVID), I've still put on a few hundred miles. Luna was able to resolve a small shipping issue quickly and after watching the recommended videos, the installation was a pretty straightforward process.

The Bbshd 1500w is a very reliable and quiet motor. Lots of power in a small package. You will leave all the other ebikes in the dust. I received mine in 2 days!

I changed from a 30 tooth chainring to a 42 tooth chainring on my fat bike. I was only using the smallest cogs and with all the torque the chain skipped once in awhile.
Normally I would add in a few links but I just blocked the largest cog and I'm good.
All my friends have ebikes from the big brands but my Luna/Trek conversion is King of the Hill!
