I love this kit! It makes riding to work so much more fun. I get to work a few minutes faster then I do in my car and it's 6 miles away. I had a little difficulty getting the shaft into the bottom bracket on my 2019 Specialized Rockhopper Comp 1X. After I sanded down some of the paint on the motor shaft, I was able to get it in finally. It was a tight fit though. Took me about 2 hours total to get up and running and I had ZERO previous experience taking anything apart on a bike. Needless to say I have learned a lot! I was glad I bought a bike tool kit off amazon and also some of the Luna tools they recommended. It made things quite a bit easier. I had to install a few spacers so that the motor wouldn't hit the chain-stay and of course had to get a longer chain in order to access all the gears. The Luna eclipse chain ring really helps keep the chain on and helps with the offset. After 2 weeks of bumpy riding I decided that I would be much better with a full suspension bike. Went and bought a 2020 Specialized Stumpjumper ST Alloy 29. Everything fits perfectly and the motor also slid in the bottom bracket a lot easier on this bike. The shark battery did not fit on top of the down-tube due to the shock taking up that space. I tested it first on my friends bike (same model and thought it would fit, but did not realize at the time that his was an XL frame and I got a medium. So, I feel like it would fit on a XL frame, but it did not on my medium frame so I had to mount it underneath the down-tube. I had to run some metal clamps through the battery holder in order to mount it this way. The ride on this bike is sooo much nicer and way more quiet. I feel like I have more torque and speed for some strange reason as well. I had to mount the battery as close to the motor as possible so that the tire wouldn't hit it when I hit anything big. Overall, I am really pleased with the outcome and already have several friends thinking of converting their bikes as well.

This kit worked great for me. My only regret was choosing the throttle with a key. This left no room for my gear changer. I ended up breaking the key in an unrelated incident and had to hotwire it. I have the other throttle on order and that should resolve my issue.

A note for anyone over 350 lbs: I would recommend getting one of the sprockets with the 36t sprocket (or smaller). I weigh 400 lbs and if I had not gotten the smaller 36t front sprocket I would be severely bogging down the motor at low speed or going up steel hills. I have no use for the middle 44t sprocket, which is good, because my front derailleur won't work on that diameter anyway.

There's a few upsides and a few downsides to the mini controller, first upside is that it seems to be potted material on the inside witch should help it be a bit more weather resistant and deal with bumps and jumps better also the smaller size definitely is nice to fit it in smaller spaces, the down sides are that the connectors that came with it are not plug and play with the cyclone 3000, and need to have the connectors cut and rewired to work, and from using both the large controller before the switch to the mini, the larger controller seemed to have a bit better throttle control and the power seemed to be a bit better as well..I had a little confusion when doing the swap and reached out to luna and they were very helpful with sending me the information I needed to get it up and working

The controller fixed my code 30 issue. The shipping was fast and the service great.

I purchased the Triangle Battery Bag to house Jumbo Shark 48V, 17.5 Amp battery. I wanted to stabilize the battery by using the water bottle mount which was not allowed with the Luna Bag. I had to make two holes in the bag and then mounted the battery holder through the bag into the screw holes for the water bottle holder. It worked perfectly and the battery is very stable. It would be nice if there was a sipper on both sides of the bag. The Jumbo Shark on/off and charging port on the right side. The sipper on the bag are on the left side. I can reach in to turn the battery on and off, and I use an extension for the battery charge port so it is reachable from the left side.

Used with Cyclone 3kw. Plugged right in to controller. Use horn for manual cruise control and 3way switch for hi/med/lo motor settings. I have not used light switch yet, but may in the future. Not the best 'clamp' to bars setup though.
