Works great

I bought the BBSHD mid-drive along with a 52v Shark battery pack to convert my existing mountain bike into an ebike just over one month ago, and we already have over 600 miles on the bike. It has been awesome. The installation was easy for the most part, mostly because of the great resources on the ebike forum here at Luna Cycle. The staff at Luna was also very helpful ironing out a few wrinkles with me. I would highly recommend buying equipment at Luna, and the BBSHD has been awesome so far.

Luna makes the best batteries. Not much else to say. Solid unit with quality battery cells that just works.

A great mounting system, far superior to any other I’ve found. I build ebikes for friends and this system never has any issues. Word of advice: Use loctite on the screws when mounting to the bikes water bottle holes and also add a lock ring to ensure there is no movement.

I purchased this well made 58 tooth sprocket to increase torque throughout the rpm range. Top speed, of course , is reduced but the kind of riding I do, top speed is not important. Most of my riding is on trails through the woods in the mountains and in eco mode, I get well over 3 hours riding time on one charge. It seems to be the perfect choice for my type of riding.

They look like jewelry

This is not an easy install. Seems like I took half the bike apart because there are no real instructions or explanations. But it works well and the Sur Ron is really fun. One note never may or demarcation a connector without “ Opening the Circuit Breaker “. It’s the way I blew the controller. My Bad !!

This is the only chainring that was able to give me a near perfect chainline with my nexus 3 speed. I do wish black was still in stock though.

It's a functional replacement for the scetchy support bafang provides. The word luna is cut out of it though, and it's cut backwards.

Correct part with fast turnaround.
Usually, less than a week. I live on Hawaii Island.

Correct part and connections.
Fast turnaround.

Good work, excellent web site.

Good quality charger. I had the earlier version from over 3 years ago and this one has a quieter fan and added option to limit to 80, 90 or 100% of charge to prolong battery longevity. This one is also slightly smaller and fits better in my backpack. Good price and very quick shipping. Need to be careful charging and I trust my gear from Luna.

Great item especially for steel frame bike, zero movement on my high-powered Bafang

Great product and arrived quickly!

Way beefier than the stock and of course… it looks cool as sh*t~

I like the belt drive very much it makes an already quite bike basically silent. You can hear the motor as you get on it sounds good. It looks clean easy to install as long as you have some degree of confidence and hands-on experience some people may want assistance if they're not comfortable cutting the frame. The only reason I'm not giving 5 Stars today is that you are limited to 1 sprocket size hopefully that will change soon if not I will just have to find a way to make one myself

The Luna Wolf V2 52V battery pack (Samsung 30Q) pairs very well with a 40A C7240 Grinfineon controller, Crystalyte H3525 (7.1rpm/V) direct drive rear hub motor, and a Cycle Analyst V3. The Wolf V2 with the 30Q cells has a 50A continuous BMS which is more current capability than the 40A controller so it should never be under too much stress, but it sure is fun going full throttle! I'm 200lbs, and with all this gear on an old Trek 3700 hard tail the bike is 61 lbs. With chunky trail tires on 26-inch rims and a flat road the bike can hit 28-30 mph depending on the wind and how much I decide to tuck. The CA V3 has shown a sustained current draw of 40A (controller limited) with an expected voltage drop under heavy load. The battery definitely seems to hold up to its billing. The CA V3 says I’m getting between 5Wh/mi (always pedaling with throttle for assistance on hills) and 27Wh/mi (lots of throttle but still some pedaling).
The 30Q cells are rated for 3000mAh when discharged to 2.5V, but no one discharges them below 3.0V to extend the cell life. This puts the usable cell capacity closer to 85% of the specification (about 2550mAh), and the usable capacity of the pack closer to 10.2Ah.
At 10.2Ah and an average of 52V the pack has a usable capacity of about 530Wh. Divide that by 5Wh/mi and 27Wh/mi and the estimated range could be anywhere between about 20mi and 106mi on a fully charged pack. Not bad at all.

Great product from Luna cycle makes for a fun ride. Just getting in season for daily commute.

Came super fast and worked as decribed.
