Luna Cycles Triangle Battery Bag Velcro
This bag is excellent quality. There are two places to pull the wires through. It fits great in my Dragonslayer 17 inch frame. It's far more durable than the bag I bought from Amazon and this one is cheaper too. My battery fits great, I have the Panasonic 72v 14ah. Definitely recommend it!

Luna Cyclone 3D Cyclone Mounting System
I had to modify the mount to fit my Dragonslayer because it has a built in chain guide mount around the bottom bracket. I used a Dremel to modify it. After getting it all together I'm really pleased with the results.

Luna Mighty-Mini 30 Tooth BBSHD ChainRing
I bought 2 size chain rings and they both look and work great! When I opened the box and saw that there was a bag with five hospital masks I was amazed and very grateful and so was my friend who I passed three of them on to! I think that brings customer service to a whole new level, great job folks at Luna!

BSB-1 Stabilizer Bar for BBS02 and BBSHD
This stabilizer bar is the bomb. It has eliminated my shifting probs and made shifting gears ultra smooth! Honestly should be included with the BBSHD kit. I love my Luna home brew and saved thousands converting my trek 7300 over other crappy ebikes. Do yourself a favor and get on board!

Luna Fat BABE (Bad Ass Belt Ebike)
Love the bike! It's well built, good looking, quiet and stealthy. If I drop the PAS to 0, it's absolutely silent (got the Peek gear option to go with the Gates belt drive) and good for riding in restricted parks. The brakes are superb. And battery range is surprisingly good.
I bought it to take to Florida in winter for three months, as an around town and beach bike. Also, to take the grand-kids on mild single-track and Jeep trails here in east TN. Because I have to take it on the road at times, it now has front and rear rechargeable lights, a bell, mirror, clamp- on water bottle and mini tool kit. I'll probably put a rack on the back and fenders to keep the mud off.
I gave it 4 stars because of the occasional clack or ping that comes from the transmission, even though its perfectly aligned. I always stop peddling and wait for the motor to stop before shifting, yet the occasional clack occurs when I push hard on the pedals. It's worrisome from a reliability standpoint. Also, after riding a 250 watt rental in Ireland last year, on a somewhat lighter bike, I expected a bit more assist with 800 W. Perhaps Luna could revamp the controller to gradually ramp up power to 1500 W when in 2nd gear or higher?
P.S. Next year I was thinking of installing a geared front hub motor and mounting the battery on the rear rack, hidden by a carry bag. I'd want it to be throttle control only and work in conjunction with the mid-drive throttle. This would help to quickly get out in traffic and up steep hills. Would Luna build that wheel and sell the 52 V battery as a package?

Bafang BBSHD Mid Drive Ebike Kit
My converted bikes are now my favorites, my terrain is steep and challenging. Usually an hour up and down for 10mins. Now up is as much and possibly more fun than downhill, I feel like a kid with this bike. Please respect others on the trail, I use a bear bell so when tearing around others can hear and expect me.

X1 Enduro EBIKE
I finally was able to get one that fits me very well. Most of the bikes for sale are large or XL. I just wished they have different colors, but I love the high gloss finish. There's some pro and cons but mostly pros.
First, this bike is not made for road riding, it's an Enduro mountain bike. I just don’t like thin tires; I like riding in comfort. I love the mountain bike style, always have. I even had a custom-built full suspension mountain bike frame when I was a kid. I have never owned a road bike, never want to.
It’s not a speed demon, tops off at 25mph and the pedelic (pedal assist) stops. I can use the throttle to go pass 25mph, so it's considered a class 2 at best.
I have not made a lot of changes on the bike. I plan on replacing the stem with a slight raise and handlebars, they're too wide for me but that's customizing so not a con. I already replaced the saddle, got one that fits me based on the sit bones measurements I made prior. I also replaced the pedals, it was a cheap one, it wiggles (a con but is it? Normally they don’t come with them on high performance bikes).
Another pro is the looks. I love the way the battery is basically hidden under the down tube. Components that came with it are very good (except for the pedals). The drive train is a Sram SX 12 speed, got a Sram Guide 4 piston with 203mm front and 180mm rear disc, extra braking power. The unit came with a 32t chainring. Remember, I said it’s made for off road riding. 32t is made for climbing. I had to replace it with a 42t one to get more speed, not really a con but something to think about.
My cons would be it's a carbon fiber bike, not really a con but the frame design is very tight, meaning I'm having difficulty mounting fenders in it. Being carbon fiber, I have this unsettling feeling one day the bike might snap in half w/o warning, so I hope the frame is built well (which I think it is based on the company's reputation). Frame has a 2-year warranty plus I don't plan on abusing it anyway.
The display mount came in damage. Luna Cycle sent me a replacement as soon as I informed them about the issue. I believe it was damaged during shipping. The extra battery and some goodies were inside the box and not secured, they might have shifted during transport. I remembered the extra battery was near the handlebars when I unpacked it. The display was already loosely mounted on the handlebars. BTW, they sent me a set of tools with the case and an aluminum water bottle.
Speaking of the battery, it comes with a mid-power capacity (13ah), understandable with the way it was designed. I don’t think I can get a higher capacity battery, it’s a small footprint. With this ride, I have gotten it 20 miles (in flat paved roads) with 75% battery used so it may go up to 30 miles per full charge at PAS level 3. The reason I got an extra battery. Now this ride I tried it with PAS level 3. Level 1 and 2 will give me better range but motor doesn't give me a lot of power. Level 1 and 2 is primarily for low level assist, I use my legs more. Level 3,4, 5 gives out more power, if kicks it up a notch but cuts off at 25mph. Battery drains a lot faster too. I got this bike with the optional Ludicrous mode, this drains battery faster but has a nice kick to it, sometime too much. I have to properly gear the bike correctly or else due to its power, it may easily damage the drive train. I also got the “silent treatment” option. The stock motor came with metal gears, it makes more noise, because of that Luna Cycles developed a “space age” plastic gear to reduce the noise level. I can say it does work. I can barely hear the motor running. Luna claims the “space age” plastic is very strong, time will tell.
Would I recommend this to others? Depends on your knowledge in doing your own repairs. Luna Cycles is based in California, they can support you with what's wrong with the bike (if you have issues) but you must make adjustments yourself or have a bike shop make them, at your expense. I have some skills or knowledge (not a professional) but there are times where I need to take it to the shop, mostly because I don’t have the tools to do it myself or just lazy. Luna Cycles is more of a DYI company. They make high performance bikes but you're basically on your own to figure out on “how to” stuff. If you're that type of person then yes get one from them but if you rely of bike shops on everything then I would suggest you get one from a local shop.
This bike is a keeper.

Bafang BBSHD Mid Drive Ebike Kit
All I have to say is wow. I'm running the BBSHD in off road mode on my BMC FS03 and it's an absolute beast. Combined the motor with the 52V Shark and I have plenty of juice to not have to worry about running out even when I'm pulling the kiddo in his trailer over 9 miles. Everything installed smoothly despite my frame not wanting to play nice which is fine because I couldn't find a build using my bike so I was expecting to have to get creative. Get one and you'll see how addictive it is to zip along at an easy 20mph on pavement. Can't wait to hit the trails when they open up.

The eclipse is a very stylish chainring. I love the deep offset. It really helps me keep a perfect chain line. I also like how you can easily replace the outer gear and change between different sizes. Another great product Luna! Keep it up.

Bafang BBSHD Mid Drive Ebike Kit
I was referred to Luna Cycles by my local bike shop when I was researching DIY ebike kits. I found that Luna Cycles had the best option for the mid drive kit and an excellent forum and support section. I ordered my kit and it was shipped promptly. I received everything I needed to build my first ebike. All the components were easily identifiable and nicely packaged. In the event that I need replacement parts or upgrades I will certainly look to Luna Cycles for my orders.
Thanks Luna Cycles - happy customer. Todd
