If you provide a note with this bash plate to use a couple tapered drifts to align two of the captive nut plates when fitting the plate to the frame it will make it easy to install.

I bought this along with a mid-drive motor kit to assist with the installation. It provided most of the tools needed for the disassembly and installation. This kit had many tools that I have yet to use, but you never know. Always good to have the right tools for the job in a convenient kit.

I managed to put it all together but I am having some difficulties with how powerful the motor is, in the fact that it almost breaks the gears when turning the Throttle.

Is there a way to lower the power or somehow change the way the throttle works?

I've used the bike 3 times now, each time for 3 hours or so. I have a number of other ebikes but I like this one the most by a fair margin. I've used it so far on muddy and snow covered trails in the woods. Pretty much in dirtbike territory. It really works well for me.

What a fun bike. I ride with my family and friends in the mountains and our local OHV riding area which can be very steep and aggressive trails not only do I keep up with the pack I get a lot off positive feedback and other riders interested in the technology Davidgtisolar

Third gear for better traction for uphill on dirt trail also I put 13 teeth gear instead of 14 teeth gear. It make big different for mountain bike to ride.

I used the Mighty Mini 30T to replace the 42T chainring that came with a Bafang HD motor since I'm much more interested in torque than speed. I ride lots of single-track and old logging roads with steep grades (not interested in going fast on pavement). The 30T with an 11-42 cassette now feels more like my original MTB (Giant Reign X).

Mighty Mini (silver) looks great, is definitely well made - not expecting any durability issues, but only time and km will tell.

Couldn’t be happier!!! These bike are brilliant!

I’ve had my mid drive for about a year now. Ride it almost every day to work (5 or 6 days a week) and to the store. Luckily I live no more than 10 minutes from where I need to ride, but it can handle those longer ones too with my 52v 12.5A battery.

I’ve rode in the rain (light/moderate) and snow (2 to 4 inches) and wind (30 to 40mph) with this drive on my Big Ridge 7.0 fat bike. You could say that’s stupid but this is my “car”. And I’m 20 so I can handle shit. The coldest temp I’ve rode in was -10 deg. cel. (14 in Fahrenheit) and it rode just fine.

The only thing I’ve done to the drive is give it some synthetic grease. I also used dielectric grease on all the connections and can say this drive along with the display can play with some water.

Overall it’s a fun ride. Carry your multimeter around so you get a feel of how far your battery can take you. Lube up your drivetrain so the chain don’t slip off your chain ring too much on bumpy rides. Treat your battery like a baby, don’t let it get too hot or too cold, charge it to 80 but don’t run it below 20%. Watch for cars and people especially when riding on sidewalks (going 20 on sidewalks lol). I love what Eric and his team are doing.
