Works great as a replacement to the stock chainring on my Luna Low and Fatty Wolf. I needed a replacment when my stock chainring failed as a secondary effect of rear gears stripping. There was nothing wrong with the stock chainring. Only downside is I was unaware when I ordered it that the spacing between mounting flange and chainring is about 5 mm different than the stock chainring Luna provided with the bike. They are two different designs. In order to get this to work with the chainring provided with the Low and Fatty Wolf, you will need to order 3X 2 mm spacers as well as get longer screws. Luna sells them but they were out of stock at the time so I ordered some from Hi Power Cycles.

Amazing product. Runs beautifully and powerful after customizing with program cable. Straight forward install using internet videos. Unbelievable ability to climb. Easily did 20 miles on mountain fire roads with lots of power left using 48v with 13aH.

Seems better than the original one so far.

I don't usually write reviews. In fact, this is the second one I've done in my life. However, after reading some remarks online about Luna and their customer service, I felt compelled to write one. I recently bought a Luda BBSHD kit for my fs bike. I come from a motocross racing background and I demand a lot from my bikes. I am so pleased with my purchase that I'm ordering another for my girlfriend immediately. The thing rips! It's almost like riding a 125cc in the woods. I have both the 30 t mighty mini and the 48 t eclipse. I'm 250lbs and I have to say, I like the 48. With my XTR drivetrain I can get up any hill as well as hit 40 mph on the road. The thing just pulls. I've had nothing but good experiences dealing with Luna's customer service, but that's irrelevant. The product speaks for itself. I wouldn't really care what they said as long as they deliver, and that they did. I challenge anyone to find a comparable mid-drive at this price. The thing is like an undercover, silent motocross bike. I've put about 1000 hard miles on it and its still going strong, even after I snapped my bikes steel frame in half. I stand by this company and what they're doing. Unbeatable product, great service, and just a wonderful experience. Keep it up guys! Let the haters hate. They'll love it when we blow by them in a wheelie!

I'm glad that someone finally got it right. This bike is awesome! I wouldn't change a thing. Even the color is perfect. Its really a no brainer. My only concern is that everyone will buy one and the stealthiness will be exposed. Just an awesome bike! Great job guys

I’ve purchased from Luna several times and I’m consistently impressed with the shipping time.

The Eclipse Chainring is a nice upgrade to the stock Bafang chainring. The finish on it looks great and if you’re spending likely over a thoudsand dollars on a kit, why not spend a little extra to have something that looks (and is) high performance?

Can’t say enough good things about this piece of kit. Do not even tithing about a high powered build without one. Saves your chain and cassette or IGH from trying to change under load (think of peddling up hill and changing gears).

This unit is absolutely awesome. Big power n controllable.

Luna Cycle goes the extra mile helping DIY electric bike builders complete their projects. This chainring is the perfect match for my latest build, a Sikk cruiser with a three speed internal rear hub. This chainring gives the bike an almost perfect chain line. Great battery , feels incredibly solid. It’s a bit heavier than I expected. The magnetic mounting is pretty cool although, if you’re someone who takes the battery off a lot, it’s probably tough on the mounting holes.

This motor guard is about 10X stronger than the stock one, so it's worth the money but;
The welds are a little hit & miss and there is no finishing or buffing to speak of so...

Got my bike a month ago and very pleased. Have the ludicrous motor and according to the speedo have reached up-to (going downhill) 42mph! Support team was also very nice answering questions before / during shipping.

This was a very new experience. I’m 50+ with a lifetime of dirt bike experience and considerable mountain bike time too.
The SR-X was very easy to assemble - especially after watching a couple of Customer videos online. (Those were especially helpful!).
The bike is a lot of fun and after nearly a month, I’m getting g used to both the power and limitations of the bike.
It clearly won’t do all that a dirt bike would or could, but it’s advantage is the weight and agility. I’m eager to see what they will introduce with more power (like a real gas bike) and the ability to push a bigger tire with more bite.

The Apollo is remarkable! I’m amazed every time I ride it. I've ridden motorcycles for 40 years but this is a whole different thing. I have yet to reach its distance limit on level ground while pedaling, although I'm guessing it's over 50 miles. It'll also go over 40 mph, but I have more fun giving it a workout in the mountains. Therefore yesterday I decided to see what it can do while draining the charge from 100% to 20% (the suggested low limit). The result: It took me 26 miles - including an elevation gain of 3600 feet on the first half. This was a narrow dirt fire road that cut through the sides of cliffs 100's of feet tall, and with the weather of the day, sliced in and out of cloud banks whirling over the ridge lines. I'm exhilarated and exhausted, but the Apollo held up like a trooper and is ready to go again. Interestingly I took this route by motorcycle 13 years ago but yesterday was much more fun and engaging. I think it's because the bike is quiet and I'm participating in the effort (to the extent I want).

Also I make an effort to be both polite and low key on the trails, so I decided to remove the "bling" on the wheels and tires. The wheel stickers come off with plastic razor blades. The tires are trickier since the labels are actually blended into the rubber and acetone had no effect. This required a bright light, 2.5X reading glasses, a Dremel tool, and this bit (https://www.mcmaster.com/4944a24-4944A243). You want to try to avoid exposing the fabric layer on the sidewalls, so take your time!

I’d buy a second Apollo for my wife today. She rides an XS though, so I’m building her a bike with a BBSHD motor.

The stabilising arm is perfect for the job. This should be a standard item included with the bafang motor rather than the small stock one provided. I had a frame failure with the standard mount and this should solve that issue.

Postage was not cheap but that was offset buy my happiness with the product.
