Received this sharpener several days ago & have used it extensively. Not being a carbide sharpener fan it did do a good job on my cheap garden knives with work hardened edges. The carbide sharpener side will NOT sharpen very thin blades like my bird knife as they drop too deeply into the vee. As a field sharpener though, it's a great tool to have in your backpack.

This sharpener works well for fast sharpening. I prefer a sharpener with diamond or ceramic for more precise work but this does work well to put a quick edge on your blade

The versatility of this sharpener is great. I like the ability to use the pivot option to really get a dull knife ready for use. Archery season is in full swing where I live and this is my new must have in my hunting pack. I have no excuse for a dull hunting knife at this point. keeps my gutting knife in tip top shape. Real estate and weight are a premium in a hunting pack and this sharpener is perfect in my mind. For the price you can have one for each need: hunting pack, tackle box, first aide kit and vehicle.

Note: I was given this product from Work Sharp in return for my honest review.Work Sharps Pivot Plus is a compact, quick and dirty pull sharpen system meant for your pack or tackle box. The sharpener is set to a 25 angle and functions as advertised. The sharpener will effectively sharpen your knife with a practical cutting edge, and it appears to be listed for a reasonable price as of this 2019 writing. Given low cost, the construction is a bit fragile and the set sharpening angle proves to be a significant limitation for my field work purposes. Thank you Work Sharp for sharing your thought-out sharpening product. I enjoyed testing it, but find it is not the best tool for my specific field work purposes. I am certain that many will make great use of this sharpening tool however.

This is the right tool for the job no matter how big or small it is. I have used this sharpener on many knives ranging from really dull to just needing a touch up. This sharpener has never failed to make that edge very sharp and with very little effort. I like it so much, I am going to buy one for my bug out kit.

Great product to keep in backpack to keep knife edges sharp in the field. I found it better to steady sharpener on a solid surface while using. This sharpener was great to get an edge started on a really dull knife before using the Angled Benchtop sharpener to get a perfect edge

Very happy with this little sharpener! The diamond rod is the first one Ive used that is actually sized properly to sharpen the separations on my knife. The notch sharpener is easy to use and did a great job on the 154CM steel of my Benchmade. Its very light, I plan to keep it on me during the upcoming hunting season.

This tool is a handy sharpener for knives whether in the kitchen or out in the field. I found it works well for knives but would not recommend it for honing garden shears or loppers. For the latter, I'd hoped it would be a light weight item to carry in my pocket for a quick hone on my secateurs but it wasn't possible to get the sharpener in close enough to do any good. On large loppers, it was difficult to grip the sharpener while stroking the blade. (Lacking good sense at the moment, I tried several times to find a good grip but quit after cutting myself.) All in all, this sharpener is worth having for your knives - it size and weight make it un-noticeable in your pocket and thus very handy.
