Marlin Trigger Black
Purchased a reduced trigger for a new marlin 1895. The stock trigger was 6 pounds. Yikes!
New trigger 3.7 pounds. Smooth and crisp. Perfect,
Note: when I first installed it, the half and full **** would not catch. Looking closer at whole trigger mechanism, I found the stamped trigger safety block looked like someone made it with hammer and chisel. It was all around rough and to wide for the notch in the new trigger. Stock trigger was so sloppy it didn’t bind up.
This is not the fault of the new trigger. Guess I should have taken a picture. It was Ugly.
I carefully used a file to square up, demurred and took approx. .01” of each side to fit the new trigger. Re blued and Reassembled and now it works perfectly.
While I had the gun down I deburred everything internal. I only mention this because you could experience the same issue with some shoddy factory parts. The quality on some of the internals on this brand new 1895 are troubling.

I don’t believe this trigger is any lighter pull weight than the factory trigger on my 2016-17 Remlin 336. That said, it is definitely a lot smoother! I found a ridge on the sear on the old trigger. I Think I will polish it up and put it in the spare parts bin. I will probably try the Wolff trigger spring to lighten the trigger. If I end up with light strikes, I can always stretch it a little or put the original one back in..... This review would have been a five if the pull was noticeably lighter....

Marlin Rossi 95 45-70 govt mag tube follower
Nicely machined and finished. I have a CSBL in .357/38 and I had to modify my carrier for this to work. This follower has a much tighter radius on the face than the OEM and being metal as well, effectively blocked the carrier from moving up past it. Jammed up solid. I radiused the front face of the carrier and solved the problem and because I had to do that I'm only giving 3 stars. Just a heads up if you install one of these and your lever won't close, don't force it, look a see if your carrier is being blocked by the follower. The face of the carrier has a sharp edge and it's unforgiving.
