Shims eliminated the play in the lever. I was a little concerned at first the second shim might not go in but patience paid off. The Henry is new out of the box so the action has no ware. The lever was tight when closed without the shims but terrible when open. With the shims the lever is smooth and tight. The shims did not affect the effort to cycle the weapon. Very pleased.

Ordering and shipping was quick and easy. I purchased the loading gate, magazine tube follower, medium size lever, lever quick takedown screw, fiber optics rear sights/front sights, and the dovetail filler for the buckhorn removal. Overall, the hardest part to install would have to be the filler. I gave up in the end and just let my gunsmith handle it for $10.

The keymod handguard was a no brainer purchase for me. My papoose was my first gun and as soon as i found this, I had to have it. I was having extraction problems with my Marlin 1894 in 45LC, it would not extract Winchester brass. Purchased this and it still won't extract Winchester brass. So I figured I'd keep this and throw away all my Winchester brass (I mainly shoot Starline). Other than that, great product.

Marlin Lever Action Loading Gate - Flyweight Fast, Easy, Smooth
I have been shooting my Marlins for over 25 years and have always had to "break-in" the factory Marlin loading gate. They do come very stiff and will eventually get easier to push as time goes on. I just came across your add on Instagram and had to buy an RPP Loading Gate to see and feel what all the reviews were saying.
Well I received the RPP Loading Gate and installed it in 10 minutes. ( I have been working on Marlins for a long time). I was impressed with the quality of the part. It matched the originals shape exactly! I liked that it didn't have sharp edges and felt nice and smooth. to say that my thumb/nail won't get pinched is a blessing!!!! I loaded a Marlin 336W and all I can say is WOW! I even took out an older JM Marlin 336A and put it in that rifle and it was a night and day difference in loading! All these years of busting a thumb are over! The Ease of loading these rifles just went from "ouch" to Alright!!!!
I would highly recommend this product for any of your Marlins! It will make the range more enjoyable!

Works great, much easier to load. Appears to hold up very well. One problem though, Marlin screws, why only stainless steel? I had to blue mine, stuck out like the moon in the night sky.

Fortunately, I have a set of high quality Starrett punches as the one provided with the extractor bent severely - even when punching out from the proper side. With the better punches, I thankfully didn't have to resort to my 20-ton press to get the extractor pin out. I think one other reviewer mentioned this pin can be extremely difficult to remove. Installation difficulties aside, the extractor does improve the trajectory consistency of spent cases. I expect with the better design it'll also last longer. As least within 50 rounds I had no failures to extract smoothly and predictably.

Excellent product, allows easy access to the hammer with scope attached. VERY positive grip. Note that you may not be able to fully disassemble the rifle without removing the spur if a scope is mounted- remove the spur before taking out the hammer screw
