After years of sitting in the safe - the 444 that my father gave to me was my go to this past deer season. After all the work I had done, the gun is not only way more user friendly (loop lever replacement and shortening the barrel were the big two for me) - getting the lever gun back in my hands, and back in the woods really rekindled a new love for it. I purchased 2 of the option 2 extractors, one for my .38/357 & the other for my .45 Colt. I installed them by pushing them backwards out of the plastic sleeve thus eliminating flying springs! Both rifle have noticeable improvement in smoothness and ejected all brass flawlessly to about 20" from my lead foot and just a little forward at about 2: to the rifle. On the 45 at least these extractors appear as though they will help a lot with the carbon build up in the extractor channel/hole, making cleaning easier as well. For Cowboy Action I believe this accessory will be a great addition.

Totally worth it. I also purchased the L9 Guide Rod. Brass weight / Guide Rod makes my Steyr L9 shoot super flat with little muzzle rise. Much easier to get back onto target shot after shot. Quality parts and installation was very easy (thanks for the video!).

Marlin Rossi 95 45-70 govt mag tube follower
Recently received one of the "Marlin Aluminum Magazine Followers, Self Cleaning" for my Marlin 1894CB and having tried others found this one from Ranger Point to be the best for overall fit and function in the rifle. Best part is that it fits "over" the spring properly and stays straight in the tube instead of butting up against it and getting canted sideways like some of the stainless steel models.

The Marlin Lever Action Quick Takedown Screw does what it's supposed to which makes it quick to change levers without looking clunky. Did have to gently sand the paint off the shaft to keep it from binding in my particular rifle, once done looks good and should last a long time.

This 45-70 has RPP shims and medium loop lever. After polishing and shimming the lever, it slipped right in and feels like butter. Sling and ammo cuff are from Strictly Rugged Holsters. Shells are Buffalo Bore 405 grain, 2000 fps, semi-jacketd flat points.

Sent my 1894 CB to Ranger Point in August and had it back in my hands just before Christmas. They installed an 18 inch barrel in 357 Sig and also a new recoil pad. Of course, they also Short Stroked the action and lever. The gun runs just fine and I am getting 1750 fps with my hand-loads and a 125 grain Montana Gold JHP. Neat little carbine !
