Product was cut square and foil was nice and flat. It was thinner then the OG but will still control vibration.

I recently did a Sound System upgrade to my 1955 Ford Thunderbird and needed high quality sound proofing installed in the trunk and interior of the vehicle. This is the third or forth time using this product and have always been pleased. However after trying the b-stock not so much. The adhesive backing was diminished and I had to resort to using some spray adhesive to ascertain it for installation. First I thought maybe I hadn't cleaned the surface enough and recleaned the surface and determined that wasn't the problem and looking at the backing of the product, seeing that the adhesive surface was degraded and barely tacky. I will not be using anymore b- stock product.

I realized a five DB drop in the interior sound in my 2008 Honda Fit after applying the spectrum wheel well soundproofing kit.

Replaced the old foam insulation inside the sound cover for the generator on my sailboat. The new insulation looks better, fits better and significantly reduces the noise from the generator.

Second Skin's products were a LIFESAVER! I have auditory issues where background noises really affect me. My fridge's compressor hums 24/7 (as most new fridges do, due to new congressional environmental regulations). 4 repair mechanics had been out to the house, and Samsung. They all told me that there was nothing that could be done; my fridge was operating normally. I called 25 repair companies for bids on making my compressor quieter. 24 rejected my bid, saying it was not possible, and one said he could try but it would take him 3 months with the Minnesota cold to come out. I started avoiding an entire floor of my house like the plague, given the sound, and felt like I made a giant mistake by upgrading.

I googled compressor dampening for fridges and came across Second Skin Audio. I called, a bit skeptical given all the bids that told me it was impossible. I learned about how their insulation is custom-made for appliances and for the fridge, quieting compressors. I learned about the fire rating on the insulation, so it could not even catch fire if it wanted to. They talked to me for 20 minutes about installing it properly, meticulously helping me through what to cover and what to not.

Once I got it, I was admittedly so excited that I did not get the proper tools to make behind the fridge visually appealing (a T-Ruler would have been crucial for that). So using the very basic tools to make it functional, a strong scissors and a mini tape measure. I made it work. It took about an hour to install. After 1 hour, I almost started crying. I could be in the room again! Finally! After months of avoiding the space, I got to take a nap in it. It had dampened the sound by around 50%. You cannot see it at all when my fridge is in the alcove, except the insulation I added to the sides to make it even quieter.

Instead of “conventional” itchy insulation, this material is of medium weight, soft and easy to work with - no need for gloves or mask and does its job. Will purchase again if I need to make more acoustic panels!

The sound deadener lays out nicely. Consistent textured coating. Sprayed very well. Looks nice. I did this on the outside fire wall and bottom and back side of the cab while I had the cab off. I will def use again.

Didn't even know something like this existed until I discovered what was installed underneath my sink started to hang down. After research I landed on this product, and so glad I did. Again, not realizing how loud an unprotected stainless steel sink can be, once this was affixed (couldn't be easier) ithe difference was incredible.

I purchased 2" Cellulose Acoustic Panel and it works a charm to significantly reduce the noise from the return air vent in our living room.

I used the 3 pack to create free standing acoustic panels: gobos for my home studio. As of now they surround my drum set and sound great for recording purposes.

I wanted to invest in new home gym flooring that would offer more protection than jig saw foam mats. While many in the home gym community advocate for using stall mats, I wanted something that would be a little less odorous since this would be inside my home rather than in a garage or an unfinished basement.

The Stomp Mat proved to be exactly what I was looking for. I purchased four mats and used black Gorilla Tape to connect them together for a seamless, large workout space. When taped together, these mats will not move. Night and day difference between cheap foam flooring options. While these mats smell like rubber, the odor is neither overpowering nor unpleasant.

The full-size mats at ½” thickness are very heavy, so be prepared to ask for help if you can’t comfortably move heavy items in awkward shapes. The sizing is fairly consistent across mats. Per Second Skin’s instructions, mats can be trimmed fairly easily using a utility knife – just make sure you measure twice, mark your edges with a white paint pen, and use a fresh, sharp blade.

These small pieces do wonders for blocking out the heat and lowering the decibels.
