After applying Damplifier Pro on the engine side firewall of my mid-nineties Volvo sedan, I followed immediately with Mega Block heat shield. It comes in 2 foot square sheets so has to be cut to apply in small areas. The application was pretty straightforward my concern at the time was how well it will stick, the adhesive didn't seem that strong, but it seems like once it is on is isn't coming off, I'll see how it goes in the long term. I used duct tape to cover the seams but I will get some aluminum tape for the next one.
I can't speak to the heat aspect of the product, but I've no reason to believe that it won't work as advertised. Suffice to say I was really glad to find Second Skin, I just wish I had discovered them before I did my other deadening and insulating projects in the interiors and trunks of two cars.

I applied Damplifer Pro and Mega Block to the engine side firewall of my Volvo 850 since the old factory material was falling apart. After removing the old stuff I scrubbed and pressure washed the metal surface, and used denatured alcohol to wipe clean of residue as I applied the Damplifier product. It's very thick with a layer of aluminum between two layers of butyl rubber material. The adhesive is very strong, I don't think it will come off when the hot weather arrives. Using a roller and other tools is the best way to press it on firmly and get out air bubbles.
I followed up with a layer of Mega Block heat shield. See my separate review for more information on that. I didn't get pictures of the Damplifier before applying Mega Block.
My results were great. The cabin is significantly more quiet than before, dramatically so. I'm really happy with the cost-benefit ratio of the project. I'll be doing the other car soon.

1st time I bought this product I did buy the sprayer 2nd time I got the sprayer and the 2 gallon kit.
I did the whole trunk and back small window it will be about a year since application and noting has changed. I just recently did the doors the whole door. (Pic below)

I was worried about the adhesion of this product, but once I started working with it, it wasn't a concern. It was VERY sticky which made install worry free. I definitely noticed a drop in noise and the foam was very easy to cut with a utility knife and a ruler. It's must have for future projects.

The rubber feels solid throughout the entire mat piece. No complaints there. However, I was hoping that the mats would be cut closer to right angles, or even at the same angles, as I bought several of them hoping to line them up neatly next to each other. Because each mat is cut at different angles, it's not possible to line them up next to each other without having gaps between either the mat pieces or the wall.

We found ourselves needing extra sound insulation (over and above standard Anderson double glazing) after switching to an air source heat pump whose compressor noise turned out to be more intrusive than expected. As others have noted, these inserts are not cheap, but they're substantially cheaper than the alternatives (for us, new windows or relocating the compressor) and they work as advertised. Effective and very welcome reduction in even low frequency noise. Mounting them to the inside surface of the window frame with the adhesive magnetic strips was an easy task. Do be aware that the inserts are shipped in commercial grade wooden pallets - definitely very protective but also heavy (one person won't be carrying the package any significant distance!!).

not only dd it reduce the road noise from the wheels but it also reduced the vibrations inside the cabin.

We purchased a house maybe half a mile from a freeway and didn’t think much about it when we bought the house, but the noise level at night from passing motorcycles or big rigs sometimes can be a bit loud at night when it is quiet in the house. All of our windows and doors had been updated to double pane before we bought the house but not the skylights. We thought about replacing the skylights but happened on Second Skin acoustic inserts. We have three skylights. One in our master bedroom and two in our master bathroom. We can close the door to the bathroom which helps quite a bit and based on the price I didn’t want to move forward with all three until I knew this would help. As I’m an Engineer, the concept made perfect sense, so decided to move forward with the skylight in our master bedroom.

We ordered the product in August and delivery seemed a bit long. We received the product in late October, but these are custom pieces so I get it. It would have been nice to know upfront how long it typically takes, but all good. I had a bit going on so didn’t have a chance to unbox the product until later November. A couple of the corner pieces of the acrylic insert were a bit offset, but they informed this can happen in shipping and not to worry about it.

Since this was for a skylight they didn’t have as much documentation for this type of install. There were some minor issues with the Swivel Arm installation because of this skylight install. They ended up having to make new “Swivel Arm” pieces for my installation, but they were very responsive and delivery was very fast.

I was finally able to finish the install and it was pretty easy once I had the new Swivel Arms. Our first night after the install you could really hear the difference. I believe they say it reduces noise by about 10x based on installation, not sure exactly how much it helped with ours, but it is significant. …and I’m positive it helps with heating and air conditioning.

I am definitely considering doing the other two skylights, but the pricing seems a bit high. I know they want to make sure it gets to where it is going without damage, but the crating fee seemed a bit high. I think based on my experience in manufacturing that the crating fee could be significantly reduced by using another method.

Overall though, the product does seem to work as advertised and maybe better than expected, installation once I received the new swivels was pretty simple and the technical support was very helpful and quickly addressed any questions.

Once everything was prepped correctly the product sprayed out and covered great. Thin coats are the way to go so the product dries between coats minimizing sags and wet spots. Great quality for the value in comparison to the main stream competitors.

After I put on some heavy rock shields on my 1998 4Runner, the passenger floor temps have been out of control. They averaged 16 degrees higher than the drivers side, with max temps getting up to 130 degrees. And those numbers are normal suburban driving in temps under 90 degrees. Imagine how hot it gets rock crawling in the desert!

My project was to put in the Thermal Block (1/8" thick") on the passenger side only above the exhaust. In addition I painted the exhaust with Rustoleum ceramic paint (I think did nothing), polished the underside of the stock heat shields, ceramic painted the topside of the stock heatshields, increased the gap between stock heat shields and body by 1/4", and made a new heat shield between the 2-1 downpipe collector and body where there was only tattered fiber heat shield before.

I collected driver and passenger floor temps a month before and a month after on majority normal driving to work. About 30 data points each. The difference between drivers floor and passenger floor before the project was 16 degrees and after was less than 1 degree. The difference between driver floor and ambient air was 21 degrees before and after. Since this data was over a few months, I didn't want to compare average temps (because weather changes).

As a side note, I did record some temps without the heavy rock shields and the without stock exhaust shields. The drivers side was 2 degrees colder than before, but the passenger side was now 40 degrees higher than the drivers side. This shows how important stock heat shields are, and maybe having the heavy rock shield wasn't that much of a problem.

I used this with maximum coverage and wasn’t disappointed with how much quieter the cab of my truck was. I’ve done two vehicles in it, it will be my pick for the next one as well.

This is top notch product. Just soft enough to form into all the small details and ridgid enough to form a smooth top surface. Beyond that it is incredibly quiet!

The celluzorbe panel was super easy to install and provided immediate relief to my noisy fridge in my studio cottage. Highly recommend!

The mats are very easy to install. Contours well to the floor and inner firewall of my Trans Am. Minor cutting required for steep curves as should be expected. Butyl adhesive sticks extremely well. Highly recommended.

I used 2 layers of the 1/2" peel and stick along with the mlv and put it in my door. It really seemed to quite down road noise quite well. Happy with the purchase.

Overall it went pretty well, and they did a good job at sound dampening. It's not 100%, but it probably knocked it down 50%. The first decibel picture is a before decibel average and the second picture is an average after the windows were installed. All three Windows look the same as this.

Trying to quiet down a Polaris sxs in conjunction with your luxury liner pro. What a difference it is making. Not yet done, but the more I do the better it gets
