Fantastic Frame™ Soundproof Window Inserts
The crating fee might seem expensive, but it was excellent and windows arrived in great shape. I also used the materials from the crate to put flooring in part of my attic for storage.

Damplifier Pro™ Sound Deadening Mat
As a lot of people may know, vintage cars had basically nothing for sound deadening or insulation. I’ve been wanting to try some on this 63 VW beetle I’m building to see the difference. It’s an amazing how just the butyl mats take a car that sounds a ton can into a modern sounding “thump” when closing the doors. I’ll be getting more products soon to keep on this car. Thanks!

Timberwool Will Meet Our Needs

Timberwool™ Wood Fiber Acoustic Panels (24" x 96")
It was great to receive the sample of Timberwool. Second Skin made it easy. With the sample, I was able to confirm that water (and thus, air) would easily make its way through the material, which in our case, was the requirement we sought with a structural material. We went ahead and purchased panels of Timberwool.

Sink Soundproofing Kit
We used this kit on a new kitchen sink we just installed. It was easy to use and worked to dampen the sound.

CelluZorbe™ HD Soundproofing Backer
I have a very loud kitchen appliance (the Ninja Creami) that I use very frequently. Using a single panel of CelluZorbe HD Backer Board cut to size with a utility knife, I made a "cover" encased in cardboard (to keep it lightweight) to place over the appliance while in use. I also placed a piece of CelluZorbe HD Backer Board under the appliance. The appliance run time is at least two minutes. This cover reduces the noise level from 85 decibels without the cover to 79 decibels with the cover in place - a reduction of 6 decibels as measured by three different apps downloaded to my smartphone (Decibel X being one of them). This may not sound like a huge reduction in noise level, but I have found it to be a welcomed improvement and my cat no longer runs out of the room when I turn on the appliance (with the cover in place). I may consider adding another layer of soundproofing to further improve the situation (all comments would be welcomed). BTW, before starting this project, I spoke to someone at Second Skin Audio who gave me great advice on how to proceed (much appreciated).

Damplifier Pro™ Sound Deadening Mat
Product went on easily and does make a difference. I did end up going back in and adding Megazorbe as it did not give me as much improvement as I was expecting by itself. All-in-all a good product.

Spectrum™ Spray On Deadener
The product adheres well and does provide some benefit but do not expect dramatic results. I have installed this in my RAV4 wheel wells over the top and around the second skin dynaliner pro product and while I do hear a bit of improvement, not as much as I had hoped for.

This would be the third brand I’ve used and this stuff is by far the best quality. This stage of auto upgrade should not be something you skimp on. It’s too much work to redo

The Stomp Mat™ - Rubber Floor Isolation Pad
So initially while I was looking into setting up my home gym, I stumbled onto horsestall mats. Not to take anything away from them, but the smell of them drove me to look for other options.
Now I’ve used second skin for my car audio projects many moons ago, and I’m glad to see they still make a very successful and good product. Right out of the box the smell was very faint, my bumper plates actually smelled stronger than they’re like 1/50 the size. After a day or so I couldn’t smell a thing.
I’m probably going to end up grabbing a second roll. Would definitely recommend if you need a good stable base for your gym equipment, or other in home needs.

Mega Zorbe Pro™ - Hydrophobic Melamine Foam Panels
Thank you for reaching out to help me understand that I didn't use the foam for the right application. I will reach out again if I decide to use another product to help block exhaust sounds to include drone.

Hi Robert,
Foam does not have enough mass to be good at blocking sound. It's basically air! Luxury Liner Pro (MLV) along with a CLD like Damplifier Pro on the metal is best to use across truck back walls to block exhaust sound. Foam should be used in applications where echo or reverb needs to be reduced inside of an enclosed space.
We're reaching out to learn more so we can help you get the right material for your project.

Damplifier Pro™ Sound Deadening Mat
Can't tell you if this product is better than other major brands as I don't have the technical equipment to test with, but I certainly can tell it really deadens the "drum effect" on the doors, improves speaker efficiency and a noticeable quieting effect on my Venza. Funny thing is, I can hear the tire noise slightly more now. Lol. The adhesive properties are very good, and the product is workable. I can start to apply the 1st couple of inches, and if it's not lining up where I want it I can peel it off and reinstall.
I spent probably 2 hrs on each door Appling 4" x 12" strips where I could, smaller pieces where hard to reach. Be aware that 2nd Skin calculator is for 100% coverage. I found at best I could get 60%-70% coverage, which definitely made a huge improvement. Will definitely buy this product again for future products. Really appreciate it's Made In USA!!

The Stomp Mat™ - Rubber Floor Isolation Pad
Saw these recommended as an alternative to horse stall mats and glad I went this direction. I used carpet tape as recommended to adhere these to plywood bases for a home gym platform. Works great and looks good. The mat came with a small bit of rubber partially tearing off the edge - I am guessing some damage in transit - but I didn't think it was a big deal. There is less smell than I expected, too, I've left the windows open to help the rubber air out but it's FAR less than something like a horse stall mat. Great product!

Damplifier Pro™ Sound Deadening Mat
From the moment I picked up the damplifier pro box to the point I stuck it on my trunk lining (spare tire space, etc) I could tell it was a going to make a difference. While I'm only part way through my project I knew this was not going to come off (it really sticks...so take care before you apply and roll it on). I plan to use the rest and buy some additional insulation for under my hood. Thank you for carrying quality products. I saved some $$ when I bought on a volume sale.
