Did nothing to deaden sound

Having had a great experience with my purchase, I thought you might enjoy hearing about it.

Before ordering a small piece of fluffy 3M Poly Insulation for my tiny-little project, I communicated with the customer service department twice. Once with a product question and once was to check them out.

In each communication, their response was very punctual, informative, polite, knowledgeable and professional. This was a nice surprise indeed, especially considering that they knew I was only looking to make a 25 square foot purchase; not much to them but it was important to me.

Ordering online was easy, shipping was quick. Along the way, I received shipping progress email, and when it arrived, packaging was very well protected from contamination. There was nothing to break so the plastic inner wrap was perfect.

To understand why I was so impressed, you need to know that I previously ordered something from another resource that claimed to be thick and fluffy, even using some of the same words in their product listing as seen here. Unfortunately, the other resource shipped me a remarkably inferior product maxing-out at about 20% of the thickness of the genuine 3M product I received from Second Skin.

After I received my package, I received follow-up email which assured me that this is a company that is definitely customer driven, and that they want their customers to be happy. They succeeded.

SecondSkinAudio.com has many, many products on their website that showcase their wide range of expertise in helping quiet the excess noises in the world. I’m retired from the construction industry however if I needed to improve sound transmission resistance, I would certainly keep their information handy. I know this sounds like a paid review, or compensated in some way; but it is not. I’m just a happy customer.

Great product, easy to install and does a good job deadening road noise

24", 30", & two 32" seals installed. All cut about 1 3/16" to fit between door stops plus required 3/16" for seal lateral movement. All work well mechanically and provide desired sound isolation. The 24" seal had to be cut to fit and works well despite manufacturer's recomendation against cutting.

I’m building a high-end sound-quality system in my 2025 GMC Canyon and used Second Skin Mega Zorbe throughout the doors after applying CLD to the sheet metal. The difference has been impressive. The doors feel much more controlled, there’s noticeably less resonance and unwanted noise, and my Focal K2 midbass drivers absolutely came alive.

I especially like that Mega Zorbe is hydrophobic, which makes it ideal for inside a vehicle door where moisture is always a concern. I’ve also treated the door panels and sealed the doors as much as possible, and the finished result is incredibly solid.

I was impressed enough that I ordered additional Mega Zorbe to continue treating the floor and rear of the truck. For anyone doing a serious SQ car-audio build, I would absolutely recommend it. 5 stars.

Just right for trying to limit vibrations in turntables and cd players. Best price.

I used Firewall (along with Spectrum) on the interior of my GMC Jimmy restoration. It laid down really well and I'm very happy with how it looks, even though it will get covered up by carpet and interior later! I would have given 5 stars but I'm still a LONG way off from being able to test out the Firewall performance!

I received a complete kit for a 4 door pickup when I received I said it didn’t look like enough but was plenty the adhesive is strong and product is easy to work with The doors took approximately 3 hrs and the difference was well worth the time Will use again on upcoming projects thank you

Used this to make acoustic panels! Awesome to work with! Acoustic panels work great and love not having to worry about fibers/particles leaking into my studio air.

We live next to a busy street and needed to dampen the noise since our primary bedroom windows look out on it. We had already put in new windows and increased the insulation in the walls but needed more. These window inserts really do work! They don’t eliminate the noise but certainly there is a significant amount of dampening. I recommend that, unless you are really handy, you have a professional mount them, like we did.

I live in Florida. It is very hot and humid. I decided to put in two Midea air conditioning units. They are U-shaped and the compressor is on the outside. The window is closed on the unit in the middle. I did this on the recommendation of my air conditioning repair technician. I had trouble sleeping in the heat and couldn’t get my HVAC to allow enough temperature and don’t want to pay to air conditioning repair technician the whole house.
It works great except for one thing: there is a gap where the window does not close completely and the foam recommended to fill the gap don’t work that well. I thought to use insulation, and decided to use the denim insulation because of its lack of toxicity. It has worked great!!

I order this for my new treadmill I live in a 3 floor house the treadmill was going to be in the third floor and i was worried that the noise was going to bother other if they were in the second floor and thanks god , no one hears nothing thank to this exactly what I neede , I love that I could also cut it , I had the 2inc i believe

I’m restoring a 40-year-old VW Vanagon Syncro and wanted to properly re-insulate the original fuel tank before reinstalling it. I used Second Skin Thermal Block to replace the deteriorated factory insulation and their High Temp Foil Tape to seal all of the seams and edges.

The foil tape was very easy to work with, adhered extremely well, and gave the finished installation a clean, professional look. On a restoration like this, the little details matter, especially when you’re working in an area that will be difficult to access once everything is back together.

I’m very happy with how the project turned out and wouldn’t hesitate to use these products again. Five stars.

Used it for my door block off plates. Great adhesion between lead and close-cell foam sheets!

bought some luxery liner pro for my car (firebird) to test out how effective it is. and I am not dissapointed. I used it over my trunk area because i get alot of road noise and noise from my loud fuel pump. I put this over some dynamat and it really finished the job. Noise from the back sounds alot more muted.

Had a squeal from a mini fridge that needed some dampening. This foam was great at cutting the noise and easy to install
