Thermal Block™ - Heat Shield
Fantastic products and fantastic service! Heat and sound management on this type of project is critical to producing a car you actually want to drive. With the amount of sound and heat control I've installed you can make a race car livable on the street. I performed testing to understand the impact of adding Damplifier Pro to thin fiberglass panels and was amazed at the difference. Adding Luxury Liner Pro to kill sound before it can make it into the cabin was also key. A combination of Thermal Block to keep heat out on exterior surfaces and Heat Wave Pro on the interior makes the cabin comfortable even in 95+ degree temps - pretty good for a car that has no ventilation.

Luxury Liner™ 1 lb MLV Roll - Mass Loaded Vinyl
This install was my son's 2014 Subaru Outback. Doors were easy. Floor and trunk were very, very difficult due to tight fitting carpet formed to the contour of the floor and extensive use of Subaru styrofoam parts in the trunk that left no clearance to add sound deadening . Did a lot of improvising to work around the fitment issues. Put a full mat of Luxury Liner on top of the spare tire mat (sorry, no photo) instead of attaching to the trunk metal under the spare tire because anything added under the spare tire raised the tire so much trim would not go back on correctly. Seemed to work okay as son asked if I could do anything about the bumps in the street now as all the road noise is gone !

Mercedes Sprinter Van Insulation Packages
Second time using this material with great results. First time was a Mercedes Metris Cargo Van. I didn't expect much then and I was more than a little surprised at the improvement. Had to go for it again on my 2017 Sprinter Crew. At this point, roof, cab, rear doors are not done yet, I stayed above the exterior molding belt line, upper rear interior side panels are not installed yet and already (!) the the difference is incredible! Slider door closes like a bank vault door. When I'm talking on the MB phone mic, the person on the other end can hear me! No echoing and road noise. No rattling or thumping going over speed bumps or over rough road. Using about 30% less volume on the stereo. Way more relaxing to drive. You don't realize how loud MB's big metal box is until it's quiet. Even better, the weight added is inconsequential. Lots of square footage in a Sprinter so I didn't go crazy with coverage and there isn't any need to go crazy. something like 50-60%. Cover the big panels and use the scraps to fill in the blanks rather than throwing them out. I covered the inside wheel wells completely but left the small section behind the interior panel uncovered (this area is waxed from MB). Just a couple of lazy days pulling the interior panels and crawling around. Def worth it. Now it feels and sounds like a Mercedes. Roof next weekend followed by some Heat Wave Pro.

OverKill Pro™ - 3/8" Closed Cell Foam
This was a full sound deadening project on a 2017 mazda 6. The customer brought me this car and had me model the deadening and sound system off of my personal car with some changes for his taste and budget. The goal was a competition grade SQ car with some trunk space and access to his spare tire and a clean / classy look. as far as the deadening we did every panel in the interior with Overkill pro behind it. We did every piece of metal in the car with at least 1 layer of damp pro and up to 3 layers on sensitive areas that needed extra dampening. We did Luxury liner pro on the entire floor and we did 3 layers of damp pro on the roof with the braces foam filled and butyl rope lined to reenforce. The end result was about 15db less road noise while driving and a almost silent experience outside the car while it was full volume on the inside with over 130db of bass and over 100db of mid and high frequencies. The build was a huge success, i wouldn't use any other product for my customers because they depend on me to provide high quality installations and I depend on second skin to have a product that meets my high standards.

this project was only partially finished but this was a large SPL build for a customer of mine. Our goals were less road noise from the large tires he has. The other part of the goal was also to strengthen up the vehicle because of the 8 12" subwoofers and 30k watts. The truck is not fully finished yet but I am excused to see the results of all this second skin.
