Thermal Block™ - Heat Shield
Thermal Block is a great product for deflecting heat away from hot objects under the vehicle. I have used it above mufflers, exhaust pipes, cat converters, and on firewalls (by turbos). Blocks the heat from reaching the vehicles metal every time with its 800 degree heat shield deflector. Clean the surface very good and make sure it is free of rust/grease and the adhesive on the Thermal Block will stick for good. I use small tin snips to cut it or a razor blade. Product does what it is supposed to do and does it well.

I don’t think I ever mentioned this but my background is high end car audio fabrication. I started back in the early 90's and still get my hands dirty whenever possible. I must say that I am very impressed by your product! Our current audio fabricator came over as I was checking everything out and he was also very impressed. The product looks phenomenal and I can’t wait to get it installed. I’m sure we will be using your product on many builds throughout the shop moving forward. We skinned the entire vehicle floor, walls, doors, and roof with Second Skin Damplifier Pro and the Luxury Liner Pro Foam padding. I am blown away by how quiet and dead the sheet metal is. I would have to layer up competitor product three, four, sometimes five layers thick to achieve the same results. Awesome stuff man!!!!!

I did a full sound deaden project on my 4runner and used Luxury Liner in many areas of the vehicle... there is a very noticeable difference in road noise before and after the application. I don't have much room behind the door panels, so I couldn't do total coverage like I was planning; however, I was able to cover the voids in the inner door skin and even that made all the difference. I also did applications on the floor and inner fender areas. It was a bit tough to work with on rounded surfaces, but it was expected. It is relatively odorless which is a bonus and overall it's a great product!

This is one of five builds that I have done using Second Skin products. This may be a station wagon but it was built to perform so it makes plenty of noise outside. Since it is a wagon, I put Second Skin on all of the floor surfaces, on the ceiling, and in the doors. The ride is pleasantly quiet and the A/C cools the car down quickly. Second Skin is easy to use with no mess and it costs far less to sound deaden a car with Second Skin than with the competitor. They have everything you need from sheet material, to speaker enclosures, to installation tools. The audio products really enhance and protect the performance of the stereo system. I recommend it on all of my builds.

This is one of five builds that I have used Second Skin on. It is a '66 Plymouth with a 525 HP 440, 3" exhaust and 3.91 rear end gears so it makes a lot of noise on the outside. The Second Skin however keeps nice and quiet inside. It is a lot more fun to drive a high performance car that you don't want to escape from after a few miles because of interior noise. You can enjoy the performance of the engine and the stereo system.

I use a heat gun to make it a little more workable but not necessary.
