I ordered the second skin Damplifier Pro to aid in noise cancelation for my mustang. The exhaust on my car is very loud and makes it hard to talk to even the person sitting next to me. I went with the damplifier pro since it was a little bit thicker than the regular damplifier. So far I've covered the entire interior floor of my vehicle. The second skin looks amazing. The flat black foil backing is much better than the competitors backing. Install was pretty straight forward. I used a heat gun to aid in installation. I also used a pair of scissors and a straight razor for cutting. Beware that this stuff is permanent. I accidentally covered a few holes and then needed to find them and remove the Second Skin. The Second Skin did come off but it wasn't as clean as I expected. Good thing I don't plan on removing it! I still need to do the doors and trunk, but I need to order more Second Skin!! All in all I'd highly recommend this product for anyone with a loud car or with a loud system. It definitely removes that tinny sound from vibrating metal body panels.

Beats Out Everything Else. There is nothing else to say. Second Skin Damplifier and Damplifier pro is the best damping material out there. I know there are cheaper options out there, but there is a reason why this is always used in pro builds. I've used Dynamat, Stinger Roadkill, NVX, Murdermatt, and this is by far my favorite. I haven't ever used any of the really cheap ones on here because they normally come with a very potent smell, and I think Dynamat stinks, this has a scent, but its far from a smell. Installed in late August, yes I've had it in the car in heat, so I can atest it doesn't smell in hot.

Working with this stuff is a dream. Very, very rigid compared to road kill and Dynamat which is very floppy, makes this stuff very cooperative. It cuts easy, it doesn't slice up the hands too bad, and it sticks really well, THE FIRST TIME. I use a roller and a panel popper to smooth it out and force it in to the pores of the metal, but when applying this, I never made me feel like It was going to fall off.

it really went down easy, It was a warm day so that helps. Rolling was a breeze. I can' t believe the difference. What it did was show me where my week ness are. I will be ordering more. I just did the floor. Need to do the rest. Love it

I have been using Second Skin going on 4 years now. With building multiple record-setting vehicles. I only trust the best. None others compare in my opinion, Second Skin for the win. Take my advice. Do it right. Do it once!!!

Its almost cheating

To start things off I own a 2003 Chevy Suburban which came to me with no previous audio work having been done to it. I was the winner of the 20 sq ft Flat Rate Box with a wooden roller on Second Skin's Facebook page recently and just wanted to leave my honest feedback.

I've used other deadeners before and have to say that this Damplifier Pro was the absolute best I've used. The sheets are smaller than some others I've used. One of the biggest complaints that I've had with deadeners in general is the creases that form in some of them from the weight and surface area of the sheets causing them to fold and bend from the moment you pick them up. I did not experience any sort of creasing or folding with Damp Pro as it was handled in any of my stages, which is amazing considering how much of a pain it was in the past to do the roof of a vehicle as I did with this.

Another giant plus in my book is that the quality control with Second Skin is absolutely nuts. Nothing gets overlooked and every single piece was just as perfect as the last, meaning all of my edges were perfectly straight and easy to line up with each other creating a seamless look.

I also want to leave a review of the wooden roller included with this as well, because I recently bought a 2 pack of rollers on amazon that were extremely frustrating to use and got tossed out the door once I received SS's roller. This thing is amazing, gets into corners very easily and doesn't slice into the top layer of deadener as some others do. The back of the handle is also contoured perfectly to reach those areas and dips that the roller just can't.

All things considered, if you want nothing short of perfect Second Skin is the way to go. Yes, their prices may be a little higher than their competitor's but it is truly reflected in not only the quality of material that you receive, but also the lack of frustration and ease of use that you get when applying their products. O'Reilly Auto Parts salesman told me about this local company in Tucson. I was looking for a heat deflector to keep the heat from my upgraded exhaust pipes away from my fuel lines as it was causing issues with my fuel delivery in the hot desert summer. Come to find out, they had the perfect fix for my problem, these strips of Thermal Block. I cleaned the metal real good and applied the Thermal Block directly over my fuel lines (only where they were close to the new exhaust pipes) and problem was solved. The product was very sticky and had no issues bonding to the metal. Thanks guys....you have earned a customer for life, I will be back.

The product was great, went on as indicated, had a solid foundation and easy to trim.

You guys really know what your doing, I always get your gear to apply inside the doors of every front stage/ door speakers. The Rear wave deflectors are unlike any other product on the market, superior quality. The closed cell foam when applied properly inside the door makes a tremendous acoustic improvement overall within the vehicle. Thank you for everything you do!

One of my teammates has used Second Skin products for years and has always sworn by them. He got me in touch with Eric and we got things squared away for my first order of products. Eric was great to deal with and answered any questions that I had. Upon receiving my order and just checking over it, I would have thought it was regular stock products and not B-stock. Excellent build quality. Once I started installing the Damplifier I knew it was much better than any of the other deadeners that I have worked with in the years I have been into car audio. The adhesive is extremely sticky and did not have a problem adhering to the surfaces inside my doors. The foil is insanely strong and I had no issues with it ripping or tearing during installation. The material did not "melt down" or get super gooey while using a heat gun to see how it would react. The speaker tweakers are awesome as well! Very simple to install, thick and overall just a fantastic addition to the doors. My wife and I will be placing and order for more products once we start her SQ build. I plan on checking out many of the other products that Second Skin offers for my vehicle as well as my wife's.

Let me start off by saying that I've used many different types of Dampening material. You know that saying you get what you pay for, well I've had to learn this the hard way. I used to cheap out and buy other products but then I tried Second Skin. Sweet baby Jesus. This stuff workd great, and works wonders. Let me say that my truck is loud. The exhaust noise is ridiculous. I bought a 40 pound box of B stock to use on the floor of my 2011 Silverado. (I have no idea why it's b-stock by the way. The Damplifier looked perfect to me.)I used all 40 pounds and some Damplifier pro that I had purchased years ago. I placed about 2-3 layers throughout the floor of my truck and it made a night and day difference. I am sold in second skin. The spray adhesive they make works. I order this for around the home for all kinds of projects. First used it on my firewall build back in 2010, but this time I ordered it to repair my drooping ceiling fabric, worked great. Let it tack up for a bit when you first spray it on and it will bond strong.

Was easy to spray and covers well. Great how easy it cleans up. Took about two weeks to dry completely. Does make it pretty quite when spayed inside and in wheel wells. Was told this stuff was tough enough to do a floor for my jeep but it is not. Company man said that as long as "you don't wear golf spikes everyday" it would last forever. That is not the case. Any type of bump with something that has an edge takes it to bare metal. Going to have to buy a bed coating to cover it and hope it toughens it up without having to take the spectrum off.
(Second Skin Response: Thank you for your time with this review, we appreciate your feedback. You are correct, Spectrum and Sludge will not get rock hard like a bedliner, and will not protect from industrial type daily abuse. If the product is going to be walked on and had stuff hit it non stop (especially heavy weight edged items like the 5 gallon pale and fully loaded golf bag you admitted to throwing on it), it will need to be protected with a bedliner on top. It will stand up to daily road abuse in the wheel wells and under carriage, but if you live on a gravel road with heavy daily gravel travel, we would recommend a bedliner on top of it. We do recommend you wait 30 days for the product to fully cure before adding a bedliner on top because of the chemicals that bedliners use in getting egg shell hard. Spectrum must be applied in layers, 1mm coats at a time (3 coats total) with 60-90 minutes of drying in between coats. If applied like is recommended it will cure in 24 hours (high humidity zones take a little longer).

I ordered these Speaker Tweakers to help improve my door speakers. I used fast rings with my Infinity Kappa Series 6.5" and then added these behind them inside of the door on top of my butyl deadener, and man what a difference. These pads and fast rings were worth the time and effort of installing in my doors. Thanks for the great product guys.

Glad I ordered the spray gun with my package, it worked well. The clean up between coats was simple with water, I just sprayed a hose through the nozzle until water came out clean. The outcome of the Spectrum with the gun was exactly what I was looking for on my undercarriage.

Heard about second skin from my buddy Brandon over at SMD, I seen his truck at 1 of the shows, although he has the deadener in his truck. I knew second skin was the place to go to i would of got deadener also but my pockets wouldn't of been very happy lol had to take a alternate route and get it from sky high either way between the 2 my rodeo is pretty solid now keep up the good work.
