Affordable ammunition with excellent quality. Paired perfectly with my Type 99's sights. I was able to keep accurate groups with ease out to 150 yards. Hits after that are possible but far less regular. Recoil impulse is satisfying and comfortable.

Nice loads that typically print high due to sights on my original 1873 model. I need a higher front blade, but use "Kentucky Elevation" on my 100 yard range to compensate as these old rifles were battle sighted for about 300 yds. The ammo shoots great !!

As with many .458SOCOM users, I struggle to find ammo that is made to spec (because there isn't a consistently agreed upon spec). Cor-Bon and several other very pricey name brands wouldn't feed correctly (or chamber at all) due to an incorrect shoulder angle.
4/5 stars; would have been 5 because accuracy is solid, but every now and then I get a round that won't feed due to a "soft" shoulder. I now check all ammo in a Lyman gauging block before attempting to shoot it, I'd say Steinel gets it right 95% of the time which is better than most.
