I was looking for a lighter load to use with my uncle's bring-back Arisaka Type-99 and Steinel fit the bill. The rifle can handle a combat load but I wasn't willing to test that on my recently repaired shoulder! The target shown was rapid fire at 100 yards and the aiming black is just over 6 inches across. Much tighter groups were obtained from the bench, but that's not as much fun as shooting an informal competition with fixed bayonets!

The Trapdoor rate Ammo but the 300 grain and 400 grain Ammo joy to use first time use my rifle after discussing the ammunition on your company chat line. I was able to hold a approximately a 2.5” group at about 75 yards with 5 shots. Would recommend the Trapdoor load ammunition to anyone to purchase.

Ammunition for Nambu 14 is hard to find. Thanks to Steinel I am able to finally shoot my Type 14 and the 8MM Japanese they provided worked flawlessly. Steinel has changed the load on these since the last time I bought them, but it's all for the better. Accuracy is still great, only now they don't rattle my teeth out of my skull when I fire them. It's still a stout recoil, but it's more of a push than a snap, so you don't have to worry about the front of the gun rising up and throwing the scope into your face. This is definitely my preferred shop for 45-70. Now I just need RNJesus to bless me with the hunting lottery.
