The accuracy of these rounds is super impressive. Only a few practice shots with a brand new rifle and I was ready for hunting season. One shot later at 150 yards and I was able to harvest a buck and the impact stopped it dead in its tracks immediately. I highly recommend Steinel, you will NOT be disappointed!

This is the only ammo I've run through my 458 and it's been flawless. Accuracy is awesome, no feed troubles, consistent. Ive taken hogs, whitetail, axis and nilgai with the 300 jhp. Matched with Vortex Razor 1-6 this is now my hunting gun for anything from 150 yds in. The 7.62 x 51 is for ranges beyond that. Great ammo and no reason to pay more somewhere else when this is a winner.

7.7 x 58 Japanese Arisaka 150gr. Soft Point
I harvested an eight-point deer this year utilizing the Steinel 7.7 with excellent results. The entry hole was the width of the bullet, but the round exited the deer with great expansion. The shot was at a distance of 50 yards, and the exit hole was about 2"x3". The lungs were both shredded and the top of the heart was hit as well. Shooting for groups, I was consistently able to achieve 1.5" to 2.5" groups at 100 yards. The recoil is pleasant. This is some of the most affordable 7.7x58mmJap on the market, and the quality speaks for itself.

The XCaliber 7.7mm X 58 ammunition for my vintage Arisaka Type 99 is a 150gr. 2,310 FPS round that works perfectly in this rifle. I rely on XCaliber for quality ammunition that I can trust. I only use this rifle periodically for target shooting and it has special meaning to me since my Dad brought this rifle (along with a 6.5mm Arisaka Type 38) back from the Pacific after the War and it is important to me and my brothers that nothing damages these rifles. I only wish that XCaliber would produce the 6.5 rounds for my other Arisaka.

Ive tried pretty much every brand and load of available ammunition for 458 and 50Beowulf even the 3+ dollar a round high end brands and i cant see any advantage at all they have over Xcaliber. Xcaliber is loaded as hot or hotter, the slugs are seated better (some other brands the slug walks out if you chamber it a couple times). The primers are not excessively hard..never had a light strike with Xcaliber even with JP reduced effort hammer spring kits. I just cant understand people paying more for less. This Ammo is good and anyone that says otherwise probably has a gun issue they need to sort out.
