Edge Grain Butcher Block Sample
Sample arrived in timely fashion, as ordered, and were of good quality. Would have appreciated some direction about how to make choices, but that is highly individual and may not be possible. JT

Ash Wide Plank (Face Grain) Countertop
I ordered 3 pieces of 48" x 12" Ash planks to build shelves to replace my tiny and dated-looking IKEA kitchen cart. Combining it with custom made steel table legs, the results exceeded my expectations. The wood itself was cut perfectly to size. I only needed to do a light sand with 150 to prep for staining, and the rest was cake. There were a few knots, but kept those facing the bottom. One of the planks, however was riddled with splotches, revealed when staining, and had knots and both sides. It wasn't the end of the world, as that was used on the bottom shelf. Despite that, I will definitely order again from HLC.

Hard Maple Edge Grain Butcher Block Countertop
Outstanding service and product! We needed a 13' long, 2: thick counter top for our kitchen island. I called Hardwood Lumber Co to talk about options for wood, finishes and edges and got excellent advice. I emailed a drawing to confirm the dimensions, radius cuts and edges. They confirmed what we wanted. They kept me posted on the schedule coordinated delivery well (we needed white gloves delivery to reach our location). When it arrived, I was truly amazed at the quality. There wasn't a joint in any of the pieces. Each one was full length. We've ordered several other tops from other companies and they always have multiple joints, so this was a very pleasant surprise. The piece was well sanded and almost ready for finishing. I sanded it one more time to get the most consistent surface I could before applying a tong oil finish. The colors are fantastic. I'm hoping to post pictures. So, again, outstanding service, advice, and coordination and a fantastic counter top at a very fair price. Highly recommend!

Walnut End Grain Butcher Block Cutting Board
I'm pleased with this cutting board. I have 2 cutting boards, this one and a Larch end grain. I use my German chef knives with the Walnut and my Japanese gyutos with the Larch. Cutting board quality is top-notch. Would recommend to anyone.

Rustic Hickory Wide Plank (Face Grain) Countertop
I purchased the wide plank hickory rustic version because I want a lot of character to be present for my steampunk desk I am building. This is an awesome table top. Almost done with my drafting desk.

Hard Maple Wide Plank (Face Grain) Countertop
I had a great experience with Hardwood Lumber Company. I ordered a custom designed 1.5 inch thick dining table top made of Cherry Maple and Walnut, as well as a Maple leaf insert. I received the table ahead of the scheduled timeline and all the pieces were carefully packaged and i perfect condition. I honestly couldn't tell which side was the top since both surfaces were finished very well, i also ordered a custom edge bevel which came out exactly as i had wanted. Overall i am very happy with my experience and will hopefully purchase another piece soon from Hardwood Lumber Company.
