Hardwood Lumber really delivered on our new kitchen countertops, working with us to provide pictures of select planks of wood and fulfilling our specific trim choices perfectly. They were also great in discussing the various choices of wood with us. We love the result: four beautiful, light colored hard maple wood pieces whose dimensions fit perfectly in our kitchen.

I was blown away by the quality workmanship and beauty of this product

Ordered three standard landing tread samples on 6/18 and received 7/23. That’s 36 days for three landing tread samples with standard edge finishes. Two had the requested edge finish, one had an unfinished square edge instead of the requested edge finish. We didn’t have time to reorder before the job started so we used a local yard. Customer service was professional, but the process made it not worth it to use Hardwood Lumber Company for our actual order because we had no idea if our order would come out correct or on time.

Perfect and excellent quality

I have this made for my barbecue pit for a cutting board and man. It really looks nice and cleans up very well.

I ordered a custom butcher block countertop with a cutout for a sink. I provided a drawing with dimensions and was able to order easily online. Order arrived on time and true to dimensions provided.

Perfect wood plank for built in bookcases.

The top is what I expected. Nicely sanded. Correct measurments

I purchased the African Mahogany butcher block for my kitchen island and was thrilled that I could customize the size to fit my existing island, which I loved but needed a new top to match my newly stained floors. The piece arrived within a few weeks and was stunning in appearance. However, I had ordered the salad bowl finish, and it seemed like there was no finish applied at all—the surface felt rough to the touch. I tried using light sandpaper, but the surface quickly became rough or "fuzzy" again when exposed to any moisture, even from just wiping it down.

I reached out to customer service, and after reviewing the photos I sent, they provided me with a finishing kit that included 180-grit sandpaper and an oil finish - polymerized linseed oil and beeswax. After about 30 minutes of work and applying the solution, the surface was finally smooth and properly repelling water as expected. Additionally, Hardwood Lumber refunded a significant amount for their oversight, which I greatly appreciated.

Overall, I’m very pleased with the butcher block now. It looks and performs beautifully, and the customer service was responsive and helpful in resolving the issue.

This is a beautiful countertop, amazing piece of wood we absolutely love it !
Service was very convenient and very useful, they took time to review measurment to make sure the design and the dimensions were just perfect

We are very happy and we recommend the product and services!

Quality wood, cut to size, no defects, delivered on time.

Absolutely perfect. Great experience, couldn’t be happier with the quality and finish.

The piece arrived as described, and packaged very well. I am very happy with the overall value proposition this company provided. I would definitely shop there again and recommend them to anyone.

Everyone who see it is amazed how gorgeous it is. I have rustic hickory cabinets also and it matches them perfectly. Every easy people to work with. Exactly what I wanted.

Doing these stairs in Mahogany was a big stretch on the budget, but Hardwood Lumber was competitive and had a very good ordering interface. Shipping cost to CA was significant, but probably reflects their real cost; besides I couldn’t find a similar product locally.
Material arrived and looked beautiful until I got to the treads with end returns. I anticipated these would be separate pieces of wood, and they were, but ugh, the end return pieces were bright white. Now I understand the manufacturing environment and I’m sure there is something in their boilerplate that discloses I would have to accept ‘natural variations’ in wood color but yikes, these were going to look ridiculous.
Not very optimistic, I contacted customer support and sent a picture. There was no question, they wholeheartedly agreed that this would not do. They sent shipping labels and had them picked up from my door, the next day. In passing I mentioned that I had one other tread with more variation than I liked but would have accepted. Boom, they just asked for the dimensions, a replacement arrived with the rest. We are very happy with the results and would order from them in the future without hesitation.

Great quality red oak for stair risers cut to the exact size I specified. The risers also came sanded and ready to finish. Saved so much time and the price was excellent!

I purchased a remanent /factory second. It was the perfect depth for my use and when I cut it to the necessary length I ended up with a 24' x 15" cutting board as a bonus!

What a beautiful piece of wood

The treads were received stained and sealed and are exceptional. We have had a number of professional contractors who are working on other issues in the house comment on the quality and workmanship of the treads.

Gorgeous piece of wood. Be aware, Knotty Pine is pretty soft. I used it for my daughters' desk, and covered it with epoxy. It came out great. Get a thick piece, two inches at least. The solid block is very encouraging, sort of like having a nice car.
