Rustic Walnut Edge Grain Butcher Block Countertop
My counter top arrived a few weeks ago. I am generally pleased with it, though there was a small irregular circular impression on the top face of the board as if a bolt had been pressed into it. The edges of one side were also dented as if someone had dropped the board on its corner. I had to cut an edge down to size anyhow so I cut away that imperfect edge. Used Howard's Butcher Block Conditioner on it and it looks excellent.

I couldn't be more pleased with the Rustic Hickory Butcher Block I ordered from Hardwood Lumber Company. They are simply gorgeous. I looked around locally (left coast of California) for hickory butcher block for a breakfast nook I have that would match my hickory floors but wasn't able to find it from any of my usually sources. Through the wonder and magic of the Internet in combination with Capitalism I was able to find this company in Eastern Ohio (Middlefield, population 2,700). The staff was incredibly helpful in walking me through the ordering details, the product arrived when promised and was more beautiful than I had hoped for. It was truly a wonderful experience.

I ordered some wood for a dining table. I used to do some woodworking but live in an apartment now where that's quite impossible, so I also asked it to be routed, stained, and poly'd. All of that was done very professionally, and it is a very nice piece of wood, which arrived well packed (there are a couple of small dents and scratches on the surface, but I'm not sure when they came to be and they don't bother me at all).
The waiting time was quite long and I would have appreciated if I had gotten a shipping time estimate when I placed the order. (I did reach out to the company a few weeks in, and they responded very promptly.) But overall, I can recommend this product and company.

Rarely do I expect a product to look even better than the photo online, but my wood desktop was really impressive. The online photo was excellent so I was hoping that my desktop would look similar.
