The finished product was exactly what I asked for, with excellent quality and a truly professional finish. My only suggestion would be a little more communication during the lead time. There was a long stretch without an update, and I’ll admit I had a couple of “is this ever coming?” moments and called just to make sure I hadn’t been forgotten. Of course, I hadn’t. The team was always professional and reassuring when I reached out, and the final result was absolutely worth the wait. I would definitely recommend them.

So far I have only ordered a batch of four samples. They took about a month to ship. They look nice but I have concerns about lead tine on production items if samples took so long to ship. The customer service representative was very polite.

Ordering process went smoothly no issues. Although I ordered a Premium Walnut Wide Plank (Face Grain) Countertop panel that is described on the website as "Made from 100% dark walnut heartwood with no sapwood and no knots" the panel I received contained what I would estimate to be 35% sapwood. Not as represented on website.

Slow to ship, expensive shipping. Got a sample with rubio monocoat clear. Could not apply the monocoat properly on a 6 inch by 6 inch block of wood. "one coat, no matter what happens" is not on the bottle. So there was a void. You think they'd try harder on samples that cost 30+ dollars with shipping? What would the rest of their products look like? As simple as it is to apply, I wanted a company that would be able to do it. The quality of the wood was great, maybe the coat hit filler that was well done?

Overall, our experience with hardwood lumber was excellent, especially since we love love love the final product. The website was easy to use. We started out trying to order our counters from a different website and had to give up. It was so difficult. We especially appreciated being able to speak to a human when we had a question. The order went smoothly. The only glitch at all was that it took longer for the counter to be completed than had been predicted. However, hardwood lumber made up for it by shipping. It priority at no extra cost to us. The shipping process and the delivery were seemless. The counters are beautiful. Thank you Hardwood Lumber Company!
