Well, I really hope someone from the staff will read this review.
I have been vrowsing the website for a while. Loaded up plants close to $230 re tax and shipping.
On 21 Feb, Theresa reached out to me, ticket #173-8246. She said she can give me a better discount than the one in the cart (FLASH, 15% ALL ITEMS). But the coupon expires soon, so hurry up.
So I hustled to put the cart together, decide what trees we want.
I contacted her to let her know the cart is final.
She then said she can give me 25% off ONLY FRUIT TREES, and the 15% off on the rest will not be applicable. So either 25% off fruit trees only or 15% off the entire order.
So with my 15% discount, my cart was $209.00. With her 25% off on selected items only, I was unable to see online what it would cost.
So I asked her to give me the totals, one with 15% discount on all, one with 25% on fruit only, INCLUDING TAX AND SHIPPING. She said the 15% off on all items would be $215.90 w/o tax and shipping and that with the 25% on selected items, it would be $204.00.
At that point, I abandoned the cart and went and ordered from Ison's.
Why?
1. First of all, this offer for discount was not necessary. I would have preference NOT to spend time back and forth with her mailing, if the result of the discount was not going to be better than what I had in the cart, as promised. It is beyond offensive and unconsiderate towards your clients to waste their time.
2. Second, because note, my cart was showing $209.00 with the 15% discount. As for when I asked Theresa how much the 15% discount would be, she said it would be $215.90.
3. Third, I specifically asked for the prices with tax and shipping included, and I provided my address for shipping calculations. Theresa couldn't bother. She sent me the pre-tax and pre-shipping prices.
If your website is not versatile enough to be able to apply discounts on selected items only, and you go out of your way to contact your clients with promises of better discounts than what the website shows, and you waste 2 days of their time trying to work with you, MAKE. SURE. THEIR. TIME. IS. WORTH. IT.
Or simply, just let your clients be! I didn't ask for an additional or better discount, YOU reached out to ME saying you can get me a better deal, and then you didn't even get the numbers the website was giving me accurately - not to mention, your promise was absolutely not fulfilled. Again, I didn't ask for a better discount. You promised it, and then you changed your mind by applying it only to selected items.
Just really a waste of time all together at my end.
The only plant I ordered from you was the one I was unable to find somewhere else, but I will definitely not return often, just in extreme cases.

Just planted 2 small trees, have to wait new leaves come out.

Exceptional customer service! Trees came healthy looking and well packaged, now just waiting to see them start growing.

Plants came in good condition but I expected them to be bigger.

Sub-standard plants recieved. Shipping method had plants too bound up. Broken limbs and one plant was barely alive. Wouldn't order again.

This plant had an awsome root system. I have high hopes for this persimmon.

Decent tree; quick delivery; well packaged.
Instructions for planting were not detailed enough. There was no "stick" in the package, nor soil mark, marking the location of the graft joint. I had to guess when planting.
Will see how well the tree does.

Plants I ordered was supposed to be 3 year old muscadine vines and was not even 20 inches tall..vines ordered from other nursery's was close to 60 inches tall for the same advertised age.
