We loved the dry aged burger patties from Heartstone Farm, and not just because we love to support New England businesses. We also love Farmer Dan’s little notes in the delivery boxes : )The burgers taste amazing - very high quality beef. We sous vide them, then browned in a frying pan (in summer we’ll do it on the grill), and topped with cheese. Definite winner.

The chuck steak was REALLY EXCELLENT!!—My wife baked it in the oven wrapped tightly in tin foil- in a dish- for two hours at 325 degrees—took it out and put it back for 20 minutes so it was fork tender. Also in the foil were some small potatoes, onion soup mix, some garlic cloves and white wine. IT WAS WONDERFUL AND WE WILL ORDER IT AGAIN

Amazing product. We have tried so many different grass feed beefs and Heartstone is by far the best tasting! The products arrived exactly on the date we were given, still frozen and in a wrapped cooler box. Along with the meat we were given cooking instructions and a thermometer, which were very helpful. I received my first order yesterday, and had a rib eye steak for supper. I kid not it was the best steak I have ever eaten. I have for several years bought my meat from a health food store, grass fed, organic or both. It was good, but not as good as what I had last night. First of all I have to admit that I am not a lover of liver. However, I needed a food source that will give me selenium and zinc. So I ordered liver from Heartstone Farms. I looked very "healthy", not frayed and off-colored like commercial chicken liver. It was very tender. I dry fried it, and was ok. The following day I caramelized onions and reheated the livers. This experience was quite delightful. So if you are like me, pick a recipe that works for you. These were awesome!

I've bought meat from here a few times. Our family loves it and they do have great tasting beef. Even the ground beef tastes great in comparison to the ones bought at the supermarket. Our favorite cuts are the ribeye and new york steak.

These steaks are amazing! The flavor is rich and deep. They cook a bit faster than grocery-bought NY Strip, so I recommend cooking on a slightly lower heat than you normally would. I started purchasing steaks and chicken from Farmer Dan at Heartstone because it was difficult to find any meats in the grocery stores for a while. I’m glad that I found Farmer Dan b/c the meats are amazing. I have been purchasing my fresh steaks and chicken from Farmer Dan every 2 weeks. The service is also spectacular.

I have ordered the sirloin steak tips several times. The last time I had the sirloin tips I tried a recipe for beef stroganoff and it was fantastic. The sirloin was tender and full of flavor. This time I took a simpler, faster recipe that I made in my cast iron skillet. Bell peppers, onions and the sirloin tips. Start to finish 15 minutes. Great with s baked potato.

I came across Heartstone while in search of a local and responsible source to turn to for purchasing meat. I have not been disappointed. I got a chance to cook one package of steak tips last night. I had purchased two. I wanted to keep it simple so I could enjoy the flavors so I sautéed them in a bit of olive oil. These were delicious. The smaller pieces did get a tad tough but I think I just cooked them a little too long. The bigger pieces were very tender and flavorful. I prefer my steak on the rare side of medium rare and these were extremely enjoyable. I will be looking to order more.
