Tough Hotdogs

To be honest, I am not a fan. The hotdogs were too tough for my liking. The flavor was ok, but I'm having a hard time enjoying them. Maybe because they are long and skinny, I don't know. I gave 3 stars because I do like the fact that they appear to be possibly a healthier dog not having all those nitrates.

first time cooking corned beef

The brisket was the perfect size for my wife and I. I followed the cooking directions and added some Guinness extra stout to the liquid. We enjoyed it immensely and will try the other meats soon for Easter.

Chicken as Nature Intended

Got our first box after switching from another company. Quality is more consistent. No leaking during thaw. And last night I stood at the stove and ate the crispy, crunchy skin off 4 perfect chicken thighs right out of the oven. Love supporting our Maine neighbors.

Turkey Sausage - delicious!

I ordered the turkey sausage with some hesitancy, store bought just didn't feel right nor did it taste very good. HOWEVER, Farmer Dan's turkey sausage was excellent. I've used it to make breakfast scramble and also added it to a turkey, sweet potato hash. The flavor is wonderful and it's so fresh; it doesn't have that slimy, icky feel to the product. Give it a try; I think you'll be glad you did.

Even without marinating, this steak is not too tough and it is very flavorful and delicious. It is leaner than a ribeye obviously, but still delicious and versatile- you could use this in many different recipes.

Good quality

I bought a kidney once at a farmers market and when I got home I thought it both looked and smelled strange. However, this kidney was fresh and gave me no doubts that it was safe to eat. I also bought a bunch of ground beef from another company in the past and all of the packages were sealed badly. I was amazed too because it was a pretty big company that sells to Whole Foods so I thought I could trust it. I have never had issues with Heartstone farm. Meat is always fresh, good quality and packaged well. And it tastes amazing

best grass fed steak!

Cooked our rib eye steaks last night. They were tender and flavorful. Tried many other companies and these are the best we have had. So excited to have finally found delicious grass fed/ grass finished meat. Will be reordering soon!

Meat bundles

The meat didn't have much flavor and some of it tasted like old meat.

After much excitement and anticipation, unfortunately the corned beef was dry, tough and had little flavor. Shoe leather. We had to throw it out. My wife will be calling your customer service folks to find out what went wrong, if anything.

Best Corned Beef

I have been cooking grey corned beef for years. This was our first year ordering it from Heartstone Farms and I will say this is the best corned beef we have had in all the years cooking a corned beef and cabbage dinner for our family. It easily a big hit for all! It is great to know that we found a place that has the corned beef we all love.

Beef the greatest gift

I sent a box of beef to my brother in law as a "thank you" gift for helping me move. It was a surprise and my sister was in on it so they would know it was me who sent it (the company should have a way to allow for a gift option). The shipping went out so fast that when I tried to add more to the order a half hour later I couldn't. I liked that I could purchase the meat without having to subscribe. Well anyway he and my sister and their kids loved it. They ate most of it the next day.

Great Taste

I actually don't eat pork cause I don't like the taste, but recently wanted to try a Tea-Marinated Grilled Pork Chop recipe I found so set out to find some local pork. Stumbled over Hearthstone, which was the only place I could find some, and got more pork than needed! Great flavor, and will definitely be adding this to my go to meals.

Tasty chicken

They are large... I cut them in half lengthwise to bake with olive oil, sage, thyme and kosher salt. They are slightly more expensive, but if they are humanely raised and processed without chemicals as claimed, they are worth it. I find the double pack a little inconvenient, yet for a family that would be just right. I will order again, and I like the "no subscription" option.

Perfect for soups!

It is hard to find GOOD Organic Sweet Italian Chicken Sausage. I have finally found one that is amazing and I love making all kinds of soups with it! Always have to stocked in my freezer!

I ordered from Hearthstone Farms based on the morals and standards that guide them. My ham is for Easter therefore I have yet to taste this product - but the personal accompanying literature and obvious care exhibited makes me sure of the quality. (I'm hoping those happy and peaceful cows on the postcard are not slated for steaks).

We ordered the large box with 20 cuts of meat for a family of 5. The delivery arrived 2 days later and all meat was still frozen. I like that they use biodegradable packaging although each piece of meat is wrapped in plastic. Not sure how else they could wrap meat without increased cost. The meat was great quality. There wasn’t any cut that we did not like. We will order from Heartstone Farm again. I only gave them 4 stars because of the cost. It is definitely more expensive than purchasing in the grocery store. We are trying to order our meat this way because we want to eat meat that is in its most natural and nutritious state but I am not sure how long we can maintain the cost.

These were great. We couldn’t wait to try them, we’ve not had hot dogs in the longest time, as we were looking for something local and Not full of questionable ingredients of other brands. Can’t wait to dig my grill out.

Best burger I ever had

Made a Hawaiian burger with grilled pineapple, onions and teriyaki sauce. Incredible! Best burger we ever had. Juicy, great flavor. Will be getting these again!

Best Corned Beef ever

I got the just under 5lb piece of beautiful corned beef. I used the recipe supplied but by the pictures you can see we like lots of potatoes and veggies. We did ours slow in the oven for 6 hrs and it came out perfectly and didn’t shrink much. The taste was great and this will now be our yearly tradition. I goofed and ordered 2 pieces just under 5 lbs so we may be having it for Easter too:)

These Drummies Are So Delish!

Quality And Taste. It’s a Win Win with these drummies. These taste just like chicken...Should. They’re not ‘overinflated like those mass produced whatever they are, at the grocery chain stores. These were part of our first order of our random sampling’s. They were the first thing I cooked along with the delicious bacon. Fantastic Flavor

The burgers are fantastic. Grilled them, they keep there shape and very little shrink. Our first bite every one said WOW. Worth the money.

Our entire family (16 of us) enjoyed the best tasting roast we’ve ever had. As a mom, I was so pleased that we didn’t have to have any chemicals in our food this year to celebrate a traditional Irish meal. I used my Insta pot to cook 9.5 pounds of roast with homemade pickling spices added and it was delicious. I chose to roast potatoes, carrots, and cabbage separately and then serve them along side, the meat and gravy.

Ribeyes - Very Nice Flavor!

Wife and I had very nice Ribeye steaks from Heartstone the other night. Steaks had excellent flavor and were well marbled. Packaging of our order was excellent and everything we received was still frozen solid.

Wow. We went back and updated our cart to add more of these. They went great in pasta dishes, for breakfast in and some soups we made. These will be a staple we order from Farmer Dan and his great team. The are are excellent tasting, the casing is not bothersome at all and they are hearty.

Healthy and Delicious

My husband was skeptical about turkey tenderloins but he loved how tender, juicy, and flavorful these were. Our toddler loved them too. It was a huge win in our house. He marinated them in honey, fresh herbs and apple cider vinegar and cooked them in the oven. Really easy! A tasty, lean meat.

The Ribeyes are our household favorite for sure!!!! We generally add on at least 2 additional ribeyes to the package!
