Chili kinda’ night!

First timer here trying Heartstone ground beef. First of all, I’d like to rave just a bit about the packaging. It’s great! Everything was packaged beautifully! Tomato Lentil Yum

Very balanced and yummy, i do spice it up with a little garlic and oregano. I live in the northeast and made it last night with a sandwich to warm me up on a cold winter night. I am enjoying Farmer Dan not just for the meats but yummy treats like the soup and chili.

Good Chicken

Supermarket chicken has glass bones and paper skin and taste like wet paper mache, this chicken actually had flavor. Usually I only get steak, this time. I added a chicken, did not disappoint. Cooked it in a homemade orange extract from orange peels and added a Chinese five-spice reduction sauce.

best short ribs!!

My 5lb order ended up being closer to 7lbs when they arrived. I was a little nervous about making that much (my recipe only called for 4) but I improvised a little bit and they ended up being the best short ribs I’ve ever made! They came in doubles (2 rib bones per piece) and i left them together. Browned and then slow braised in a Dutch oven for 4 hours. They were delectable. I love getting meat from Heartstone because I feel good about supporting their farming practices, and I feel even better feeding my family high quality nutrition from well cared for animals that enjoy a high quality of life… we should all be so lucky. Thanks Farmer Dan!!

I haven’t tried the Filet yet but my husband has & said it was delicious! I’m looking forward to mine this week. 100% grass fed is recommended to me by my doctor due to thyroid issues & it’s just a healthier option.

This is our second order from Heartstone Farm and the chicken is so tasty and moist. Breasts and tenders can be bland but these are delish! Just sauteing it here for a quick weeknight dinner with roasted potatoes and a salad! Yum!

These were juicy and tender right off the grill with crispy charred skin. Hearty portion size, my wife and I and our two year old were full after we shared the two quarters. The little guy loves the drumstick. Already ordered more for the next box.

Great for meatballs

This pork is really flavorful. I usually make meatballs or sliders with this ground pork. My only small complaint is that it is really lean, so you do have to be careful not to overcook.

Great value on the short ribs. Farmer dan sent over 3lbs which cooked down to about half that, leaving plenty for a date night. The ribs were so flavorful, clean, and juicy. Highly recommend!

Yummy Stew Meat

Made a beef stroganoff with the beef stew meat and it was delicious. The meat was not fatty and that was now excess mess in the bag.

Our family has never tried this blend of ground beef. We were uncertain at first , having organ meat incorporated as we thought it may leave a taste us our or little boy wouldn’t enjoy much. But having so much health value, we pulled the trigger so our little boy can have the best , and we don’t regret for a moment. The beef is delicious and great quality.

I bought these wings bc I bought a new air fryer & this was going to be 1st trial dinner. I thawed the wings & prepared as directed. They were delicious! They came in a 5 pack & they are not skimpy with the amount of wings in each pack. I feel confident in air frying the next pack tossed in a different flavor! EXCELLENT ANCESTRAL BEEF

So happy to have found a high quality beef that ships to my home. Grocery stores just do not carry this quality of meat. The meat in the package is actually ‘bloody’ and pink which indicates its freshness. Flavor is tremendous + health benefits of meat organs is an added bonus.

I really like this chicken which actually is supplied by common wealth poultry in Gardiner. But it’s too expensive. With my subscription if I got all chicken (10 choices for $149) that’s just about $15/lb. I like supporting local and the chicken is far superior than the grocery store but my budget can’t support this price any longer

Scrumptious Steak Tips

We thoroughly enjoyed these super healthy grass fed tips. l soaked them overnight in a teriyaki style marinade of soy sauce, brown sugar, Chinese 5 spice and garlic. Seared in a super hot cast iron pan for a nice crust and served medium rare. Perfectly tender. Yum.

Valentine’s Dinner In

I ordered this for my wife and I who just recently became parents for the second time, only days prior. We knew that dinner for Valentine’s date night would not be out at a restaurant, so when I saw this deal pop up I had to grab it immediately. We loved the pan seared scallops in butter, the filets required nothing but a tiny sprinkle of salt, after dry aging for a bit. We have been enjoying the candle at the dinner table for added ambiance for days not, and the truffles were a fun journey for the palate. I would get this again many times over. I would pick this over a fancy restaurant for quality and price absolutely.

We received our first subscription mid January and have loved every single item so far. We added the turkey bundle and are getting ready for our second subscription box. Here are a few of the meals we prepared with our first box -Pictures in order of meals prepared : 1. Breakfast sausage links - see the size and they do not shrink and the taste is the best I’ve ever tasted. 2. Chicken wings - we love them burnt but they were very tasty and good size. 3. 5lb short ribs - these were excellent and did not shrink up at all. I loosely followed the recipe online cooked in crockpot and it was very good and it lasted several meals. 4. Stew meat - loosely followed the recipe online cooked in crockpot and the meat did not shrink and was excellent. 5. Shaved steak meat - excellent taste and we made 3.5 subs out of this with plenty of meat in each. 6. Fajita meat - 1lb never really shrunk up and we added in a little chicken but it went very far and very tasty. 7. Filet mignon - these filets were as good as what you get in a high end restaurant and I followed an online recipe to make in airfryer and they came out perfect with a little garlic butter on top. A little char on outside and perfect on the inside! As you can see we have been very happy with our subscription so far. Price wise it is comparable to others but this is all grass fed and Pasteur raised and no hormones or antibiotics which was a must for our family. We are very happy!

Well to say that the burgers were tasty would be an understatement. Burgers had great flavor and were very juicy. They were definitely one of the best tasting burgers I have had to date. Packing was great and arrived frozen. Easy to defrost and thrown on the grill! Definitely worth it .

Honestly we got a side of beef in 2022 and it was really good. But quality is declining and I have cancelled my subscription. Ground beef is fattier along with other cuts, mostly fat. Not as flavorful.

Tried the ground Turkey breast meat. Was pleasantly surprised to actually be able to taste and enjoy having turkey that actually tastes like turkey as opposed to the store bought ones. Great product and highly recommend, looking forward to trying out the rest of the order now!

best turkey burgers ever

We got the turkey bundle (2) and the first thing we made were turkey burgers. We mixed the meats and didn’t need any extra fillers to pat them. We used 3 lbs and made 11 huge burgers. Now mind you my husband has been making turkey burgers forever but wow these were the best turkey burgers ever. They don’t come out as soft as store brand turkey meat and the taste was phenomenal. Wish I would have taken pictures this time but I forgot. But trust me these were great!

Fajitas!!!!

Ordered a meat box subscription which included 1 lb of fajita meat. The meat was well marbled and perfectly cut for fajitas. My wife loved it! I may substitute a few cuts on my subscription but will definitely be keeping the fajita meat!
