As people who eat a meat based carnivore diet, my wife and I are thrilled to have found Farmer Dan’s Heartstone farm. The ribeye are especially the most perfect meat we have ever had. You’d think meat this lean would be tasteless but I’m here to tell you try the ground beef from Heartstone, like all their beef it is simply next level. And if you ever felt bad from eating too red meat, this meat makes you feel better afterward, nothing like it at the grocery store. What are you waiting for? Order some already!

pork chops when cooked had same horrible smell as store bought ones, we couldn’t eat them as a result. hesitate to feed them to our dog. very disappointed.

Meat Package

Delivery was fast and was still frozen! Everything so far has be delicious. Any questions we had were answered quickly.

a lot of our packages are damaged and leaking. it is majority of the meats that I have thawed so far. There was also a package of chicken that was paid for but missing. The stew meat was pretty tough.

Very Happy

I have ordered meat online through another company but wasn’t happy with recent quality. I saw an advertisement for this place on facebook. After reading reviews of other subscribers I decided to order a package. It arrived quickly after ordering and I was informed of when it was sent and when it would arrive. My husband and I are very happy with the quality and taste of the meat we ordered!

They have THE MEAT!

Hands down the best meat we've had in a long time. I was so tired of the quality of the meats at the local supermarkets. We even tried some smaller butcher shops and another meat delivery service but none of them comes close to the quality, flavor and value we got with Heartstone Farm.

100% Grassfed Liver

The Liver was delivered in a timely manner and was frozen and packaged properly. The liver tasted very delicious when I cooked it. I would definitely purchase it again.

I actually added this to my Beef Stew to give the Broth a rich deep flavor. No complaints here!

The quality of this food compared to a grocery store is not even comparable. Farmer Dan's food not only tastes a million times better than anything at a grocery store but after eating it you feel so healthier, We will certainly be forever customers, and now we are getting all of our friends on board!

Chicken and Beef - Subperb!

I spent a lot of time researching different meat distributors because I wanted to ensure the meat did not contain hormones, injections, chemicals, etc. And, that the animals were mistreated. I received my first order from Heartstone Farm, which contained a mixture of chicken, steak, and hamburger. The taste in their meat is unmistakably the best my husband and I ever had. The taste, tenderness, and overall quality is remarkable. I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for healthy meat. BH

Absolutely delicous!

These were some of the best burgers that my husband and I have ever had. They cooked perfectly and came out amazing. We may end up adding the steak patties to all our future orders. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.

Excellent quality meat with top notch customer service! I have ordered meat twice and both times it was delivered right to my door personally by Dan. The steaks are fork tender and top notch! I don't think we can buy any other beef now since we have tried this. The flavor is deep and rich which matches the color of the meat. You can tell at a glance before you taste it that it's not your regular grocery store meat. But by far what will keep me coming back for more is the flavor and tenderness. Too Notch Meat

We got our first subscription box and let me tell you it was soo worth it. Everything came packaged nicely and frozen solid (shout out to the dry ice that snuck up on me 🤣) the meat is unmatched, you think your chili is good add this ground beef and you’ll be winning competitions world wide. Seriously how can you beat this? It’s local, it’s high quality and I don’t even have to leave my home!

Ancestral Blend Ground Beef

It was delivered frozen solid, with a welcome packet. It was packaged well and I thawed some under cold water and cooked it right away. I do like the flavor of liver but if I'm being honest I don't think you would even notice if Noone told you. It's a great way to add nutrients to my diet and also the homemade dog food I make. Thank you.

Ground port turned out great!

I sauted ground port and ground beef with mild green chillies and chopped red bell pepper and garlic and added a new taco seasoning and had taco night with all the fixings on GF Siete grain free taco shells. The family loved it.

Excellent Chicken

The Chicken Stock-Up Box is a good opportunity to try different cuts of Chicken and decide what one wants to keep stocked in the freezer. My favorites are the Chicken Breasts and Chicken tenders. I know when I order Beef and Chicken from Heartstone farms the quality is far superior to store bought and I am supporting local farmers in New England.

We really enjoyed the blueberry maple sausages. They were a perfect breakfast sausage, the grind was good (no gristle), they were juicy and browned nicely, with a lovely maple flavor and an occasional bite of blueberry. They weren’t cheap, but the obvious quality makes it worthwhile and we wouldn’t hesitate to order them again!

The best beef stew meat ever!

Last weekend I made my beef stew recipe with Heartstone Farm's beef kebabs and it was the best we've ever had! My family couldn't get over how tender, flavorful, and delicious the beef was! Oftentimes, stew meat from the grocery store tends to be tough as they figure you will be putting it in a stew anyway. This beef just melted in our mouths! Thank you for such an amazing product! We can't wait to try the other meats in our subscription!

Gorgeous and delicious

After trying this, I'm definitely never going back to chicken from the grocery store, unless they get their act together and start carrying something of this quality. Leg quarters are my favorite to braise or use as a soup base, and these just made some very excellent chicken soup.

These are mind blowing. The flavors are perfect and you can tell the quality is top notch. It doesn’t make you feel gross after eating it like other sausage bought in stores. 100% recommend!

Really Good chili!!

I was pleasantly surprised by how good the chili was. I only ordered one package, but I will definitely order more. Very flavorful and well balanced. I do like spicy foods normally not drawn to “sweet” tastes. So the first bite… I thought,Uh oh, but as I took that second bite, and then the third; well, all I can say it is a lovely chili with no single overpowering note. Everything came together perfectly with just a hint of sweetness, as well as a nice underlying light heat. I do recommend this chili and next time the place on top of a bowl of rice. This is my first order with Heartstone. I've been ordering from Butcher box for 6 years, and I'm very pleased there is finally an alternative. Heartstone delivery was next day after I placed my order, and I enjoyed a better variety of meats to choose from.

Excellent Chicken

Heartstone Farm's Whole Chickens taste wonderful. You can tell from the taste that they are antibiotic free. Their legs are so plump that I actually believe that they have been walking around outdoors. We have cooked two so far- one was brined first and the second one not- brined was a little bit juicier but both were delicious. Service was great- I highly recommend Heartstone Farm whole chickens!

Beefy Shortribs

Most notable was the beefy flavor. Braised them in stock, red wine, onions, carrots, celery, garlic, bay leaf, low and slow. Cooled and scraped the fat. Strained the reduced the sauce, pulled the ribs off the bone, served with polenta, but also great with mashed. An easy wow meal.

Whole Chicken Purchase

The chicken that was sent to me was huge!! It arrived frozen, in beautiful condition, and I couldn't wait to try it. I got serval meals from just one whole chicken, and it made the best bone broth! I was able to freeze the broth to use for nourishing soups on cold days. I appreciate this farm, their values, and the quality of the products I have tried. The hot Italian chicken sausages from Heartstone Farm are a perfect addition to our family dinner rotation. I fried them whole on all sides and then sliced them and browned. Hot with a nice kick, but not too hot. I served over spaghetti squash for me and over pasta for the kids. Serve with olive oil, salt and pepper or your favorite sauce- dinner is served!

I used the Ancestral blend burger to make a meatloaf and it was amazing! I can't remember enjoying a meatloaf that much. I also could not wait to eat the leftovers. I will continue to order the Ancestral blend.

I made these short ribs in the oven in a le creuset- wow so amazing - juicy and fall off the bone tender❤️ . Laid on top of a pile of cheesy garlic grits for me and keto cauliflower mash for my friend. Mmmmm getting hungry just thinking about them- time to make again!

These short ribs were absolutely delectable. We can’t say enough about how amazing these truly were after we braised them. Truly an amazing cut of meat, admittedly, slightly fatty, but once trimmed were the best.

Delicious wings!

We were so excited to try Heartstone Chicken Wings from Common Wealth Farm in Maine and they did not disappoint. We roasted them and tossed them in a homemade sticky spicy sauce and they were incredible. Juicy, without being too wet, perfectly meaty, and tender. You could tell the meat was high quality and that made eating them so much more enjoyable. A perfect Super Bowl treat! We get a meat box every 6 weeks from Heartstone Farm and it is worth the extra cost per pound to us to support local Maine farms, the environment, and our bodies. I would recommend it to anyone who can do it!

Best Turkey, Ever!

I have had several free range, locally raised turkeys over recent years but this has been the best, most flavorful turkey I've ever had. I bought a 12 lb turkey and followed the suggested cooking recommendations. They were perfect! I won't ever buy a turkey anywhere else again!

This Hanger steak was one of the best I've ever had. The portion was sizable, enough for three for sure. I gave it a basic 24hr marinade, a quick sear, sliced, salted and I was on my way. Absolutely delicious. The best steaks in the biz, hands down.
