We used our chuck roast in an untraditional way. We made it into tacos. Man this was so good. I cooked it in the crock pot all day.

We have been subscribers for 2 years and love it! The build-a-box every other month works great for us since we are just 2 people. It's always an exciting day when our order arrives and some creative talent to fit it all in our freezer. Everything is always frozen solid on arrival and delicious when eaten.

What happened???When we first tried the shaved steak it was the best we ever had. This order proved differently and is basically inedible. We ordered a large pack this time and every one has so much fat and is gristly too. It was not like this before. My husband refuses to eat it now. Hopefully I can pick through it and salvage what is left. Sadly I’m looking at other meat companies now.

Usually at the grocery store I buy boneless pork chops. The chop from Heartstone was bone-in and large enough to serve 2. I seared on the stove top and finished it in the oven. It was absolutely delicious!

The gray corned beef was delicious, the best I have ever eaten, and I have eaten it all my life. The fact that is was grassfed and uncured enhanced the flavor immensely, and the potatoes, carrots and cabbage were full of flavor, not overly salty and lacking flavor like conventional cured corned beef. The only issue I had was the fact that I trimmed off 12 ounces of fat, and I mean excess that was over 2 inches in depth, worse than I have usually found with corned beef. This did not affect the taste, but it certainly was disappointing to pay extra for the larger corned beef, when actually after removing the extra fat (and I always expect a certain amount of fat on corned beef) the remaining flat was substantially under 5 pounds, meaning it would have cost much less. It is my belief that this was due to the butcher who prepared and packed the meat, not Heartstone.

So fresh, well packaged and amazing quality!

Ordered the buy 10 pounds and get 5 free, well I ordered a double order because we’ve tried the burger before ( fiancée gout is the three month meat box) everything we’ve tried was good but the burger really stood out. I’m an on sale burger kind of guy but this stuff is worth it, hence putting 30 pounds on the freezer! Also the fact I don’t have to portion it out amd vacuum wrap is great comes in perfect 1# vacuum sealed packs!

This is my second order from Heartstone and I’m in love! I was worried at how the meat would ship so I started with the sampler box. Everything came packed frozen solid with dry ice and ice packs, plus a fully padded, insulated box. There is a lot I like about this Heartstone Farm and their products so far. They are based in my home state, their pledge to humanely raise meat products that are grass fed sans growth hormones or drugs, the packaging to keep fresh and the timely manor in which it was delivered on time as promised. Impressive, but how good is it? Since receiving, we’ve only had the strip steaks which seemed to be light on marbling which was a concern until the first bite. Strips are typically a firm, but tender steak and popular with plenty of people. We found them delicious and so look forward to the rest of our order. It is just the two of us, so may not be your biggest order in the future, but we will be back as your newest fans!

I can never go back to super market meat. The quality of meat 🥩 and knowing you are supporting a local farmer makes the little extra worth it. Our favorite is fajita steak. Makes 6 meals for a family of 2.

I get the strip steaks with every order. They are so tender and delicious. This month I made beef burrito bowls with a garlic lime crema. Absolutely divine!

I have ordered thse steak knifes to be used owth the ribeye steak. I am so glad I got them. These are so strong and sharp. Slicing a steak with these is very easy. Not to mention they look really nice.

I slow cooked this roast in the crock pot with veggies, it was so tender and tasty, I honestly don't think I have ever had a roast cooked this way that I liked more than this one. I’ve placed multiple orders. Each time my order is delivered within two days of placing it. The order comes well packaged. The cuts of meat are perfect. They also taste great. I’ve ordered the beef short ribs, skirt steak, beef liver, and ribeyes. All 160z servings and all perfectly weighted and great cuts. I highly recommend. Delicious Sunday dinner!! I purchased two whole chickens, cooked them both Sunday on top of roasted veggies. I delivered one of the meals to my in-laws. They couldn’t stop talking about how delicious the chicken was. We loved it too! I should have purchased another one for leftovers.

The whole duck that we bought was delicious, tender and very flavorful. Sometimes duck can be very fatty and/or greasy, this was not the case with our duck. The meat texture was similar to turkey breast. We were extremely pleased with the duck.
