The most flavorful beef I have eaten, but there was too much silver skin still attached which needed to be trimmed. The steaks were cut uneven with one side thinner than the other and one of the 8oz. Steaks came in two pieces.

Just sea salt and freshly ground black pepper were all I added to what my mate called “the best burger I’ve ever had.” (And long ago, he used to have burgers at the legendary Hamburger Choo-Choo in Huntington, NY.) Excellent seasoning for steak. We use it to dry brine any meats before grilling. Adds a bit more complexity than a simple salt brine.

Just as the beef is to die for, so is the chicken. You can't go wrong! And when you buy in bulk and put in your freezer you are all set for a year! Love them.

Great wings. Quality is always very high with Hearthstone Farms products. Service is also always exceptional. The reason for 4 starts instead of 5 is that I prefer split wings and drums and these are complete. Just a personal preference.

Within two days of receiving 5 lbs of five individually wrapped frozen ground beef packages, we had already used two packages: one for a meat sauce and one for burgers. Oh my! Delicious isn't a big enough word for the difference in using Farmer Dan's quality meat in our recipes. We just cannot go back to any other source for our meats. If you're on the fence, get the five pack...you'll be through it in no time fast.

Easy ordering experience and am glad to support humanely treated animals free of antibiotics, hormones, etc but I wish you offered soy and corn-free chicken. Very difficult to find pasture-raised corn-and-soy-free poultry.

I found Heartstone through a Google search. I was looking to buy single-source meat that was organic and pasture raised. I have only cooked and eaten the chicken so far, but I am thawing some beef as I write this review. The chicken was very good! I cooked it for almost two hours at 350 and have enjoyed every bite.

Not only do we love farmer Dan but now I love the organic chicken farm/family!!!! We asked to have the wings added in our monthly box and they were absolutely fabulous!!!!! We love all that we get from farmers that support and love the earth here in the State of Maine!!!!

I ordered from Heartstone for the first time in December -- we went big and bought a 1/4 share. We receive our beef last week after thorough communication about the delivery process and timeline. Everything arrived in great condition -- frozen -- and there was even a complimentary cutting board thrown in (thanks!). We've just started working through our massive allotment so I can't give a full review just yet, but I'll say the ground beef really is quite tasty (that's all we've tried at this point). I'll try to remember to write another review after a couple months when we've tried a few more cuts. So far, we're very pleased.

Cooked the ribs up in an Instant Pot with standard mirepoix, balsamic vinegar, red wine, soy and fish sauce, a touch of brown sugar, and a few select herbs/spices. The meat was fall-off-the-bone tender and had phenomenally rich flavor. I will definitely be ordering more in the future!

My first order came exactly on time, excellent packaging and labeling of all the meat. I have not had the opportunity to cook the chicken but the beef is excellent. I have made stew, meatloaf, beef stroganoff, and pot roast. the short ribs made a delicious meal and plenty of bone broth! Delicious! I have not had much experience with grass fed beef and was unsure of the flavor but it was rich and hearty and very tender. Of course I will be ordering gain as my visiting family from Texas has already requested meatloaf again.

Heartstone Farm's stew meat is the best when prepared correctly. Here's what I did: Dust one pound beef cubes with flour, saute them in either butter and/or avocado oil, add cup red wine, quart of beef broth, a marrow bone and a garlic bulb cut in half on horizon. Season to taste with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, sage, cayenne. Heat on high until boiling, stir, then simmer and add cut scallions (including green part), celery with leaves. Put on lowest possible light for 2-3 hours, stirring occasionally to make sure it does not burn. Rich and delish!

The packaging is very well done. The meats are vacuum sealed and marked. I want to support humanely raised farm animals as well as to provide my family with high quality meats. These ribs were incredible. Slathered them with Dijon mustard and rubbed with 50/50 salt and pepper. Smoked them at 275 in my Traeger with oak pellets for 8hrs, spritzed with apple juice every hour. Total crowd pleaser. Will definitely be order more, thanks Farmer Dan!

The steak tips were delicious! Hardly any fat and tender to the taste. We made beef stroganoff on a snowy night over farfalle and with broccoli. The quality of your meats is fantastic!

Grass Fed Burger Patties were frozen when delivered (which was prompt). I cooked them well done and they were still juicy and delicious. I am not a burger fan but these patties made me change my mind.

Hearstone Farm beef is the tastiest. We discovered it as a result of having to limit our exposure in grocery stores as high risk candidates for COVID-19 The farms delivery is efficient and eco conscious. The meat arrives vacuum packed, labeled and ready to pop into the freezer. My daughter's family have perfected the short ribs and we recently shared a sumptuous brisket. The pandemic has had us cooking all of our meals at home so the slow cooker box has been perfect. It is comforting to have delicious smell of beef stew cooking all day. The stew beef melts in your mouth it is is so tender it melts in your mouth. I cannot wait to leave the pandemic behind but we will keep Heartstone Farm beef and Tide Mill chicken on the menu.

Your steak tips were an Excellent choice for making “ authentic Mexican street burritos.” Cut up steak tips ( small, bite size) cook on hot skillet with olive oil and carmalized onion. Add a little lime juice when almost all cooked. Heat soft taco shell, add slice of Swiss cheese to melt, add steak tip mixture, add more lime juice, slice of avocado, and a red and a green salsa to top it off. Delicious!

Best quality meat around. We are steak eaters and look for the best. We have found it. Also, we had a brisket that was so good we are still talking about it. No one comes close!

The meat itself is absolutely incredible and I mean top quality. However it's to expensive for me to keep up with a monthly box. I loved how all the packaging was biodegradable and easily composted. I hope to be able to afford a subscription again someday. If the subscriptions had been more affordable and/or with more options I would have given this 5 stars. So this is a great product if you you can afford it.

I can't do it in French as written above, however this ground beef is , by far, tastier and more moist than regular store bought brands.....it is my go to for hamburgers, meat balls, meat loaf, tacos......everything!!!!
