I am happy I ordered this salt grinder. Although it is plastic,not glass, it is sturdy and good quality. It's easy to grind and gives a perfect mixture of small to fine granules.

I was so pleased that the Brisket I ordered was pasture raised and humanely treated. As well as grass fed, with no hormones. The package arrived perfectly, and frozen solid. The meat was perfect quality as well. The customer service could not be better - there was a chat line, phone number and email to answer all of my questions prior to after the purchase. Five starts without question.

Great shopping experience! Beef arrived on time as promised, and impeccably packed and frozen. Some went immediately into the freezer, and the rest was thawed and a big dinner hit the next day.

I made the wine braised short ribs in a Dutch oven first at 5 hours. They were wonderful. I am feeding a 15 yr old who loves beef AND the bones. However I couldn’t leave it alone and had to make them again 2 days later in the Instant Pot. On a rack, 30 min plus 15 resting. He’s eating as we speak. These were Asian Korean. He prefers the texture of the Instant Pot version. Lucky me. But for the review: the flavor of this beef is outstanding to me. Another trap I’ve made for myself. I’m 76, and I wish I had tried this earlier in my life. Kudos farmer Dan.

I grew up on a farm where we raised and butchered our own meat. When you've raised an animal, you take extra care in preparing it, because it's a precious thing, and the result of a lot of hard labor. With supermarket beef, it's not uncommon to see packages of poorly trimmed meat, often with excess blood in the package. Farmer Dan's neat is perfectly trimmed and very clean. There is no excess fat, blood, or gristle. The care shines through. I ordered steak, stew meat, tongue, and heart. Even the tongue, which can be a mess from other suppliers and often needs a great deal of trimming was ready to pop into the pot after thawing and a quick rinse. This means less prep time, less waste, and stress-free cooking. This beef costs more, to be sure, but the value is obvious. You seldom regret buying the best.

We have found the ordering to be extremely easy, the shipping was perfect, and the meat has been delectable.

Winter cold sends me to Heartstone for a Sunday chuck roast Cooked with root vegetables in a slow cooker. The flavor is rich and delicious. The effort to produce an outstanding family meal is modest.

Was reluctant to try this at first, as I have never tried beef tongue before...and confident to now say this was way better than expected! Its really good substitute for pork for a pulled pork style sandwich.

We're hooked on Heartstone! I'm mad at myself for not ordering sooner, actually. I ordered Farmer Dan's sampler and the crockpot package...so worth it! OMG, I read all the reviews and blurb on your website about how this is the best beef, but I figured it was at least a bit of an exgerration. Well, without exagerration, after actually eating yoru beef - a ribeye and several pounds of ground so far - I have to agree wholeheartedly. It really is the best beef I have ever had, whether at home or even one of the fancy-schmancy super-pricey steak houses. No kidding. Clearly, I’ve never had truly, all grassfed beef before. Incredible. Knowing that firsthand now, I have no doubt that the all-pastured chicken we purchased from you will turn out to be the best chicken we’ve ever had; I just haven’t cooked any of it yet. Hearthstone Farm is amazing they are so focused on what they do and the consumer. I have ordered a couple of times and have never been dissatisfied. The food is quality, healthy food you can feel good about putting in your body. Purchased a try me package of chicken legs, thighs, boneless chicken breast and breakfast chicken sausage, we also added a whole chicken for a little extra. The packaged was shipped UPS on a Tuesday and arrived Wednesday, completely frozen. We did a Sunday roast chicken and blown away, finally chicken that actually tastes like chicken. Can’t wait to try the other products, probably will do side by side comparison with upper market chicken, I expect there will be no competition, Heartstone chicken hands down. Excellent Beef and The Customer Service Team Are the Best !

A few days ago I received my box from Heartstone Farm. I was amazed at how the contents in the 3 boxes were so efficiently packaged. The contents were still frozen as if just came of the freezer. I have been ordering pork, seafood and beef products on line for many years. Most orders were a one time deal because after receiving the product, it did not live up to what was claimed and my high expectation was not met. I grew up in the 1940s on a farm producing eatable fruits, vegetables, nuts, pork, poultry, and beef for family and sale. There was no use of chemicals--everything was produced naturally. So, I know from boyhood how great the taste of grass fed products. After receiving my shipment, I thawed out 2 T-bone steaks and pan fried them (my childhood farm way). My wife has no country or farm background but considered the steaks outstandingly tasty. To me, the taste was like that of my childhood on the farm. There is only 2 of us to eat, A box of your meat goes slowly, but I shared some of my previous order with a very dear friend and his family. His wife grew up on a farm in GA and informed me today how good and natural tasting your beef is, I am hooked on your beef! I will be ordering again when I need my next supply. Thanks. A. I have been on mostly carnivore diet for about a year now. When you make such a transition, the quality of meat makes a huge difference. Also, when you eat so much meat, the way it tastes matters a great deal, too. Having this said, I tried beef from many resources- all carefully selected grass fed and grass finished. I tried whole foods, local butcher shops as well as subscription based - the butcher box. I thought they were great! Well... I thought they were great UNTIL I discovered the Heartstone Farm beef. Not only I find it nutritious, but the taste and tenderness totally won my heart. I have been a convert since! I wish there were 10 stars I could award here. This beef and all steaks on the menu are best I have ever tried. If the meat itself wasn’t excellent enough, the service and attention to detail are also above average.

The BEST ground beef I have ever had. The flavor is outstanding; I could eat this every day and never get tired of it. And let's not forget that this is local beef from the great State of Maine. Once you have tried this, you will ask yourself how you EVER ate cafo beef. . . . why anyone would, actually. Bought some local beef through a farmer's market a while ago - grass fed and finished, but it did not have the flavor profile of Heartstone. Don't know what grasses they eat, but it's working!!!

I just placed my third order of beef with Heartstone Farm, as I know I will not enjoy grocery store, or even butcher shop beef, as much now that I have tasted this grass fed beef. I have tried the T Bone, rib eye, burgers and sirloin. All are incredibly flavorful! We tried the Porterhouse this weekend-wow!!! The customer service is outstanding! I am notified each step of the way of the shipping process , from when my box is placed on the truck to when it arrives at my house, nicely packed in insulation that is made from corn and can be composted along with reusable ice packs. It is frozen solid! Farmer Dan has a new, loyal customer!!

Best filets ever! The filets are sinfully delicious, best I have ever had! Can't wait to put them on the grill this Summer. The stew beef makes wonderful beef stew and fajitas as well. The steak tips are for dinner this weekend, but I am sure they will be amazing! I will be ordering again soon.

Recently I receive my shipment of grass fed Maine beef from Farmer Dan. My order included rib eyes, filets, stew meat, liver and last but not lease 5 pounds of ground beef. Every item was unpacked and put up in the freezer except for 2 packages of the ground beef. One package was going to create a chili and the other patties. The ground beef has great flavor and texture. One can easily recognize grass fed from beef finished with grain. The grain fed is sticky with fat, the grain fed is not. Delicious and healthy, great beef.

wow this company has the best tasting meat ever my husband liked it so much now I don't have to mix of veal pork ground was the only way he would eat it veal I stopped buying because of the way they raise them pork maybe twice a year now that I khow how not good for you it is, I'm celiac you know gluten free really have to watch my health and after reading about his meats they are really healhy taste alone will tell you that and the liver was the best I ever had didn't taste animally and its really good for you going to make my own pate it is so expense in the stores and filled with stuff I won't eat, osso Bucco went great in my lental soup instead of pork which is all my mom used can say everything is worth the money fills you faster to I guess becaue of the nutrition it has ENJOY PEOLPE Miriam

Very tender for a Chuck Roast. If you cook this either slowly in oven or crockpot slow cooker, it comes out perfect. Moist juicy and exceptional flavor. It is worth every penny.

I found Heartstone farm through Google as I was doing research for a class project. I decided to put an order and try it out. This is the BEST beef meat you will ever eat. I love the taste, reminds me of the meat I ate while growing up. I have tried beef from many local stores, online and farms but this is by far the best. I won’t be buying my beef anywhere else. The delivery service was very good and my orders arrived on time.

After wanting to have a local source for grass fed beef, a newscast on a local channel presented a story about a farm that raised grass fed beef located in Charleston Maine. Using the internet I accessed the page for Heartstone to order. From the start, Heartstone has been more like a local farm to table source of organic/grassfed and finished beef. Delivery is quick and dependable. Product is expertly vacuum packed to throw right into my freezer. The quality of the beef is superb. Now, farmer Dan has located and is collaborating with an organic chicken farm. A chicken sampler has arrived and is currently in my freezer. Among the sampler, I ordered a whole chicken which I have roasted for my family. The taste is sweet, the texture tender. I have frozen the bones for use in a chicken soup in the weeks to come. Though I have not tried the boneless skinless breast meat, I look forward to using it on a salad. Strong work farmer Dan. I look forward to meeting you in person some time soon.

We bought the 1/4 cow shares at the end of 2019. There were a good selection of different cuts and a good amount of ground beef. Everything tasted great and we've gone through most of them already. We have used the ground beef to make chili and spaghetti and our kids devoured them. The meat is definitely some of the best we've had. Highly recommend. We will be reordering soon.

Best beef I've ever tasted

Received my 1st order 2/6/20. Have ground beef and yesterday a sirloin steak. I am a beef lover and I cannot believe how tasty the meat is. I will be ordering from Farmer Dan from now on. I would like to see cow feet available in the future I make bone broth weekly. Thank you and God bless.

Was there for the first time, very friendly associates. Purchased ribeye steaks to eat for dinner. Great marbling. Seasoned only with garlic salt and pepper. Cooked to medium rare. Great flavor and melt in your mouth!! Will definitely be making a trip back to purchase more. If you want great grass fed beef, this is the place. Well worth the trip.

This is the best tasting chicken I have ever had by far. We cut the chicken breast into strips and cooked it in a fry pan with just a little olive oil and salt and pepper so we could get the true flavor of the chicken. The chicken was very tender and the taste was awesome! The drum sticks and chicken sausage tasted great also. You will not find chicken like this in your grocery store. I highly recommend trying this chicken.
