Finding flat iron steaks at the grocery store is a challenge, and yet so many of my recipes call for them. I'd basically given up, until I started subscribing to the Heartstone Farm boxes. We get at least one a month, and have been so happy with these. Lean but so flavorful, and sized perfectly for a family meal -- great for recipes like steak tacos or steak salads. And I feel really good about buying grass-fed beef from happy cows and a small, local farm.

Dan The chuck steak was fantastic. I prep it with a simple brine worcestershire, salt and pepper, touch of vinegar and beef broth. let it sit in a ziplock bag for 5 hrs. Place it in the oven on broil for 6 minutes per side took it out of the oven let stand for 8 minutes. Served with mashed potatoes and brine gravy. it was a big hit, Thank you Michael

These chickens are always juicy and delicious. My whole family noticed the difference from grocery store. Also, we can get a smaller chicken through Farmer Dan and have more meat than we do a bigger one from grocery store. We get a couple every month and enjoy making delicious bone broth from it. Nothing goes to waste.

It's a treat! Tastes like it did when I was a kid. Full of flavor and wonderful texture. My only concern was Fed X had a breakdown and it took an extra day to get here. Thankfully it was still "mostly' frozen. The only thing that could make experience better is if company would return call in the event of a problem.

We have not gotten through our order yet but so far the shaved beef for our philly steak was amazing the hotdogs were yummy and the chopped meat made melt in your mouth burgers. Can't wait to cook up a steak tomorrow and try them out. :)

I am grateful to be able to purchase organ meats that I know are good, and come from grass fed cows. Though they are not my favorites, I do know the value of having them from time to time. My father was from the UK and taught me how to enjoy kidneys in an old recipe for steak and kidney pie. The steak is in bite size pieces while the kidney is cut up in small pieces. It is made like any meat pie, with gravy and optional veggies. Even as a young child I liked this dish and now continue to make it, knowing its great value!

A friend of our has ordered a 1/4 of a cow for the past two-three years. She told us it is the best tasting Hamburger, steaks, and chicken they have ever had. We were sold! Knowing that Hearthstone Farm grass feeds their cattle, spelled healthy for us! i order for the first time, the FED SKIRT STEAK, I am very please with the tenders of the meat. I mariner overnight withr red wine, rosemary leaves, garlic. when it was ready to cook I used olive oil and sea salt. and bake it. for 2o mints. when it was ready. I put under the air fryer for 5 minutes. (or broil, if no air fryer) when ready to serve I aded small spoon of butter with cilantro. (parsely if no cilantro) it came out very tender and delicious. olso you can use beer. (spanish way). I apreciated the quality of the meat. the steaks as well. thanks for olso the fast and neat delivery. FOR SURE I WILL ORDER MORE.💞

Just when you think you cannot get the best beef from Heartstone…..we now have other options. I did decide to indulge in the chicken zone and I am very pleased. The Italian chicken sausage should get more than five stars it’s absolutely fabulous. But everything is….because all of these farmers want to do the right thing and treat animals with dignity and respect and give the best product that you know you will have when you eat it.
