Wanted something for the whole family . My wife and 5 year old likes hot dogs but I’m reluctant to buy the crap in stores. These were a hit both loved them . I love my steaks 🥩 as I eat 90 carnivore. We all enjoyed the chicken . I’ll definitely do some mixing in future boxes as we try a variety of delicious meat . I like the flexibility to choose different meats per box before there sent 📦.

We are extremely satisfied with out purchases from Heartstone Farms. We initially purchased one of the share boxes and then went on to purchase a 1/4 cow. All the cuts of meat and hamburger that we have cooked have been delicious. The meat is packaged well, delivery is quick as well as email responses. We love that we are eating meat that has been regeneratively raised on a local farm. I recommend this to everyone.

I was at first extremely skeptical. I do not purchase Ham or smoked products period! I use only fresh pork. I decided to give the smoked ham a try To complement The prime rib roast that our daughter had gotten from Farmer Dan As part of our Christmas dinner. I have been ordering meat from around the world for years. This is grass finished. Which I prefer. Good Quality Fast Delivery. It is easy to order. I wish I knew earlier. Friends let friends know where to buy good food. I just wished they had a vegetable section and milk/butter available. Add some fruits and it be a game changer. Dont hesitate to buy from here.

Delicious with peppers and onions

Really enjoying the pork chops from Heartstone Farm. The family has noticed the big flavor difference even with a simple shake and bake recipe.

I am eating my short ribs now watching Eagles win. Ribs were GREAT cooked in gravy and the trinity of onion carrot celery. Good meal.

I grilled these burgers in my indoor grill and seasoned them with the Steak Salt I got in my first box. The burgers were delicious and juicy!!! My husband absolutely loved them!!

The Turkey was the best we have had! Meaty and juicy, full of flavor without being gamey. Would definitely recommend!

The Smoked Ham was not fully smoked. Tasted more like roasted pork.. It was very good and I do like roasted pork, but I wanted a smoked ham

This was the easiest most delicious roast, cooked for Christmas dinner! Seven adults delighted in the lovely rich flavor…and we had leftovers! After a dry rub, We put the room temp roast on a hot grill for 15 min, then into a 325 oven for not quite two hours. Crackly crust and deliciously pink throughout. Use your thermometer! We packed the frozen roast to the Caribbean for vacation so worried the vrbo oven might not be reliable…but it came out great! Sharp carving knife would have helped but we managed. Would do this again for a large gathering.

Love the subscription box! Did find it a bit difficult to figure out how to change the order, but once I cracked the code I was very pleased. Chicken breasts, leg quarters, pork chops (yum!), beef fajita meat…lots of choices. And bacon! So far a four week interval is just about right. The box shows up on the doorstep with environmentally friendly packaging. Meat into the freezer and I’m set. Love having high quality meats at my fingertips.

The bone in pork chops were delicious, moist and juicy, full of flavor. I always expect the best from Heartstone Farm and I am never disappointed.

Everything was frozen solid, clearly identified included everything that was promised. We had ordered the prime rib for New Years Eve. I’ve never tasted meat that delicious. The final happy surprise is the packaging. The insulation breaks down in water so does not live in the landfill forever. I’m sold. We’re planning to sign up for monthly deliveries.

Fabulous taste. There is no chemical, chlorine or stale taste. This chicken is always wonderful. Truly fabulous we find it has a much nicer taste and texture even when we are cutting it up raw, in comparison to Whole Foods or Bell & Evans

Arrived quickly and well packaged. These were absolutely delicious. We used a cider-braised short ribs with cranberries (slow cooker) recipe off the hannaford website and these melted off the bone. Would definitely order again. Always wonderful to support small farms and the quality was well worth it.

The Heartstone Farm steak tips are delicious....tender, juicy and very flavorful. They are fantastic on their own in a beef gravy with mashed potatoes or they make an outstanding beef stew. I highly recommend them.

The hamburger was very good and I found it to be lean.

We’ve had two Build-A-Box deliveries from Farmer Dan and one sampler box. It has been THE BEST meat we have ever had and worth every penny. The prices are competitive with the grocery store, but there is NO comparison on quality. Everything we’ve tried is delicious. All the meats I get from Heartstone Farm is outstanding and I know where my meat is coming from versus the supermarket. The chorizo was flavorful and great in the Christmas Day breakfast casserole. There is nothing better than buying local and knowing what goes into the process!

I begin this review by saying that I have been buying meat from Heartstone for the last 6 months, not only beef, but pork and chicken, many different cuts. Every single package has been flavorful and delicious, including the Thanksgiving turkey from Tidemill Farm. I was excited about the Prime Rib. I had never cooked one and was pleased that Farmer Dan had included detailed instructions, which I followed exactly. I cooked it for Christmas dinner to a group of 6. I’m very sorry to report that it was tasteless and tough, with lots of gristle, even though cooked to a perfect rare - med rare. I was sorely disappointed and even more so when seeing that everyone was leaving most of their slice on their plate. Prime Rib is one of my favorite cuts of beef, and having had many other cuts of Heartstones beef that were outstanding, my expectations were high. This one experience won’t dampen my enthusiasm for fully grass fed beef, nor stop my patronage, but I won’t likely be ordering the Prime rib again.

Best Turkey... wonderful experience all around.... from ordering, the lovingly, preparation + packaging, communications + delivery....packaging included instructions for preparation + cooking. Turkey came out beautifully + was so tender + tasty.

I am extremely satisfied with the quality and price of Heartstone grass fed meats . I tried meat that was so tender and full of flavor , instead of my usual store bought meat that has little taste and is much more expensive when I try to buy store bought grass fed. I have been so pleased , I just ordered the regular box of meat . I will be paying just 18.75 a week for meat that is grass fed! With rising prices in the store , this is no longer the more expensive choice . So glad Heartstone is here . Christi Wright

Awesome. The Maine Box is wonderful. All the meat came frozen and vacuum sealed individually. I will definitely be ordering again. This was a gift for my daughter and son and law. They absolutely loved it. They are very excited to start using it.

I purchased e-cards for my 3 male children so they can order what they want. The male BBQ guys who received the e-cards said it was the best Christmas gift they received.

I love the short ribs, keeping the bones for broth and rendering the fat for cooking.

What a great steak! I removed the tomahawk from its package add a little salt and pepper let it come to room temp, placed on the grill on indirect heat cooked it to medium, removed it from the grill. The tomahawk steak was so tender it just pulled apart and the favor was OUTSTANDING.

Our ham arrived right on schedule, was incredibly easy to prepare, and oh my did the kitchen smell heavenly as it cooked! A delicious meal…thank you!

Bought the Reserve Collection and so far it's met our requirements. Everything tried so far has been better than what we can find locally. We enjoy and require field raised meats and don't care for grain fed animals. I would expect to order more beef from Farmer Dan when we complete this package, maybe try chicken as well. Get up to Maine every summer and just maybe we will try and find the farm.

I have not had an opportunity to try it yet.

I enjoy the meat I purchase from Heartstone. It tastes as good as the meat we used to raise for ourselves. Beef, turkey, chickens and pork. I have no complaints, it arrives frozen and quickly. I look forward to purchasing more. Oh, the prime rib was outstanding.

The chicken was delicious. Smoked it and made an apricot, maple, bourbon barbecue sauce for it

We ordered the bacon, sausage and chicken. The bacon was very "fatty", little to no meat on it, had a great deal of bacon grease when finished frying. Disappointed but the sausage and chicken was wonderful.

Farmer Dan gift certificates are the perfect gift for my family and friends. None of us need more stuff but we do enjoy good food and love to eat. I don't have to guess what kind of meat they might want but I can ensure that they are able to get high quality, really delicious meat at Farmer Dan's.

We served this ham for Christmas. The guests all raved that it was "excellent" and "the best ham ever," it was tender and flavorful and not salty. My uncle said that it was an injustice to call it just a ham (he told the two vegans it was so good that if they were to try it, they would go back to eating meat). It was more like a roast than your everyday supermarket ham. We'll definitely order it again.

i have looked everywhere for chicken sausage and i mean many stores your chicken sausage is outstanding good size and seasoned to perfection

I was hesitant to order the chicken wings as usually when I order from another local farm they are very bony and meatless. Theses were the opposite, cut off the tips and made chicken Cacciatore, oh my gobbled them right up. Will be ordering again. This was my first order so will be trying different meats put next time.
