Ordered this cake because another bakery had closed, and it was so far below expectations it was disturbing. Icing so sugary it was grainy, cake itself was dry and flavorless. Next time I'll save myself $75 (with shipping) and not bother.

My son is in the military and I wanted to send him a birthday cake. Looked over what the internet had to offer and decided to buy a cake from Bakery.com. It arrived on-time (as promised) and my son said, "It was fantastic."

This is the second time I have ordered a cake from 1-800 bakery and they have always lived up to our expectations. We live in New Zealand and my husband and I ordered this cake with the bakers choice decor for my brother-in-laws 10th wedding anniversary. It was a perfect delight. On-time shipping, fresh and tasty, well-packed, all that we could ask for. Thanks Chef Steve for making the occasion special. Highly recommended to all!!

The online order experience and delivery time was as promised, very convenient.Unfortunately the postal carrier used was lazy and did not delivery the cake to the residence but the leasing office. The office lost track of the cake and the person never received his b-day. The bakery was very apologetic and issued a full refund. The Bakery was great. Postal service poor!

I ordered Gluten Free cake and it was delivered on time and it tasted so good that no one was able to figure out that it is a gluten free cake until we told them and they were all surprised.

Too small of a product for the price! Very un satisfied!

This cake came out much better than I thought it would. It was on time, wrapped very well, very moist and tasty.

Enjoyed the cake very much We all felt that the icing was too sweet. Allin all we would order again.

I had my reservations about ordering a cake online. But this cake was so amazingly good! It looked just like the pictures online, and it tasted so good! Everyone loved it at the party and there was plenty to go around. If I need another cake this is where I will comeback to each and every time.

I ordered a cake for my boyfriend's birthday. He recently returned from deployment from Liberia, so he was stuck in controlled monitoring for 21 days which meant he was spending his birthday stuck there and I would not be able to back him a cake myself. He was a little bummed that he was going to be away from everyone during his birthday and definitely wasn't expecting anything like this. I was a little hesitant as to how it would turn out and taste because I had never done this before, but the cake was great he loved it and so did some of the guys stuck with him. I ordered a birthday cake for myself (I'm male, 5' 8", 114lbs, i can use the extra weight) the online ordering was pretty simple. The cake itself was delicious, i still have 3/4 remaining that i'm going to share with my neighbors. Delivery: My cake was delayed for about 4 days -- I was concerned about the temperature so i reached out to Diane -- I don't quite know what to say about the experience, she was professional but she didn't answer all 3-4 of my emails. At one point when I thought the cake wouldn't arrive on the 4th delayed day so I shot her an email asking if I could get replacement if the cake didn't meet to my standards (due to the long delay) and the contact information for the Chef. about a couple of hours later, the cake arrived and i opened it and it was still nice and cold. I then emailed her back stating my elated joy and said it tasted delicious. She never bothered to reply. I guess she hates me. But being this review is public I'm sure I will get a reply back. please don't spit on my cake the next time i order. lol I would have given 4-5 stars, but I don't like that their inclement weather policy and again the customer service could have been better. Again it was 3-4 days late and if the cake had arrived spoiled -- technically they would have not been liable for it. I don't think that's fair IMHO. Other storefronts such as Amazon, Walmart will replace no question asked.

It's for my bf, I sent it to his work place, he and his colleagues all enjoyed it. BTW they delirvered it on time.

We recently purchased the Chocolate Truffle Cake as a gift for my father-in-law's 85th birthday and it was a huge hit! They could not say enough about how wonderful it was and the second day my mother-in-law couldn't wait to get through the day so she could have another piece for dessert after dinner! Additionally, we had it shipped to Florida right when a huge snow storm hit the northeast. It was delayed by only one day and the packaging kept it fresh and in beautiful condition. We will definitely order from here again!

Had a change in our plans tried to cancel, woman gave me a hard time, a.so tried to use a discount coupon for a $200. Order and they would only apply 10% for one cake not the total order, very disappointing SO I DID THE NEXT BEST THING.CANCEL THE ENTIRE ORDER BECAUSE OF THEIR STUPIDITY TO SAVE 10% when it took away from them in the long run, WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THEM..WOMAN IN CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPT NEVER ANSWERED THE PHONE HAD TO CALL BACK 10 times, also very very RUDE WITH A NASTY..AGGRESSIVE ATTITUDE..AS IF I OWE HER SOMETHING! No!no! No! Don't make me angry again! No discount no order..so they lost it all!

Oooohhh... my daughter is 4 states away from me, in college. This is the very first time she hasn't been with me for her birthday. I sent her a giant cookie and she was so surprised. It was perfect!! Simple website ... many options to choose from. I like the option of adding napkins and forks to a cake order too. I will do this every year that she is away!! THANK YOU!!

I sent the chocolate chip coffee cake to my dad for his birthday and he absolutely LOVED it! I will definitely use 1-800-Bakery.com again and I will suggest it to others!

I got a brownie birthday cake for my son at college. He got it on time. It was nicely packaged and decorated. He rated it a 6/10 - above average but not amazing for taste. However, he said it was fine more or less, just not outstanding. Next time I will be sure to order on time so I can get a nicer cake, but this experience was a nice beginning. I couldn't find a cake anywhere that could get to him on time - I was looking five days before his birthday, so I'm glad I found this quick option. I am planning on getting a cake for my sister's 50th too.

I can't review the quality of the product as this was a gift for my nephew far away. However, I wanted it delivered on a Friday ahead of his birthday on Saturday. Not sure where along the line the mistake was made (the bakery or with UPS), but the tracking info didn't include the actual apartment number on the shipping address, so it sat all weekend in a closed manager's office. With my nephew's work schedule being what it is, he didn't pick up his gift from where it had been left until Tuesday. :(
