Really great atmosphere with plenty of marshals, the start for the 10k needed to be clearer as I had no idea that we had started as the warm up had been delayed, needed a count down. Brilliant support and plenty for spectators.

Such a good race, great atmosphere surrounding the whole event! Loved how much the crowd was involved cheering everyone along. Easy to follow route and fairly flat most of the way, a couple of nasty hills, but were over quickly. First time running, but definitely won't be the last.

I absolutely loved the marathon. The route was amazing - loads of variety, residential streets, city centre, parks, Itchen river/ bridge, Southampton football club. It certainly wasn't a problem running the route twice! It was superbly organised and the support from local people and others was just amazing. One of the best marathons I've run - well done and thank you to everyone involved.

This is the third year in which I have run the Southampton Half Marathon and I would like to say a huge thankyou and congratulations on the organisation of the event.
I have run in many races across Hampshire and this is the best supported race by the local community. I gave lived in the Southampton area all my life and I am very proud to be part of this community.
I ran this years half for The Countess Mountbatten Charity as they cared for my mother and grandmother when they were very ill and the support from the spectators was amazing.
I will definitely be returning next year. Thankyou very to everyone involved who makes this event possible.

Great race - marshalls and supporters were excellent. The support and encouragement from the pacers (1:35 for the half) was fantastic. My only grumble is that there were a lot of over optimistic people in the target time zones at the start, so the first mile was very congested with slower runners. Some clearer direction/signage might have helped.

Southampton Marathon was my first ever marathon. I loved every minute from the build up on social media. The information received in the post and by email was excellent. The atmosphere at the marathon was amazing. I really enjoyed the variety of different scenery around the course, through commons, parks, Riverside, university campus, stadium, residential, bridges all of them twice!! The support was excellent. Water stations well stocked and lovely volunteers and Marshalls. I would definitely recommend Southampton Marathon!! Thank you!

Much better route than 2014! Really loved the long route through the common.
Still problems at the finish. People were not moving through. The goodies section needs to be longer to accommodate people coming off the run and marshals are needed to encourage people through. It was a bit chaotic. Also there was one drinks area in the common that was just before a bend. It was too narrow. People were stopping to collect drinks and you couldn't get through. Move it to a wider place.

Pre race organisation was fantastic. The course was a little tedious - the winding around back streets wasn't great and no going through st Mary's stadium this year was disappointing. I am also upset with the mess up of some friends at the elite end of the race.
