This was my first 10k. The race itself was well organised, well signed with plenty of marshals on the route. I received the wrong race bib a week before the event, but this was dealt with efficiently by email and on race day. I was disappointed at the end of the race that there were no 10k t-shirts left for the slow finishers, but the organisers have promised to send one out to me. The free banana, and free pint of lager at the end was most appreciated. I will definitely run again next year, and be better prepared for the Itchen bridge! Would have given 5 stars had the two small mixups with the bib and the t-shirts not happened.

Great experience but did the 10k race start while the warm up was still going on? Me a lot of others arrived at the start area from the warm-up and didn't know it had actually started, and my time and others I noticed have a whole 4 minute gap between gun time and chip time (there was no queue to get over the start line at that point!).

Brilliant experience and a really well organised event! Itchen Bridge at the end was a killer but a worthwhile challenge when you got to the top!! Slight confusion over the warm up at the start as many people didn't know where it was so when those of us that joined in with it made our way to the start line, we found ourselves at the back... but a minor point in a fantastic day - thank you!

The day way very well organised. Officials were helpful & pleasant. All the marshalls along the route along with the scouts and the public watching were very good and supportive. The medics very spot on with those who either took a tumble or just collapsed from heat and/or exhaustion. I enjoyed it, this was my first half marathon & I will be back next year to try and better my time. A very big well done to u all who made the day happen, u done a fantastic job. A good race, well organised & a great atmosphere. Really could have done with more water stations on the 10km run - one water station after 8km on a hot day was really inadequate. Website & pre race info were all good & results were up quickly. Would do it again (assuming more water)!

I absolutely loved the event. It was well organised and well supported and the course was brilliant- great variation of city centre/residential and green space. Lots to keep your interest, especially the superb features of st Mary's stadium and the itchen bridge. The only improvement could be to provide a more detailed competitors information pack as was provided with the Brighton marathon and 10k and to have a downloadable app for the event.

Great again this year - the supporters, marshalls and the pace makers were all fab. It's really good to see the whole city pull together for such an event.
My only disappointment was that the Saints players were not in the stadium cheering us all as we ran past. We do it for them on a match day (and will this coming saturday) so it would have been super nice if they could have turned out to clap and cheer the runners through the stadium.

I enjoyed the 2016 route far more, it was lovely ending the race going through the common towards the finish. Itchen bridge was killing people as its towards the end this year. Glad there was no burgess hill road!

Thank you very much organisers for an increadible experience and event!! I really enjoyed it..it was my 1st Half marathon. I.loved it! I never ran before, I took this challenge before my 35th Birthday. I am proud of myself as I completed in less than 2 hours!!! Couldnt believed it. I ran in comfortable pace, tried to enjoy every minute of running, spectators, music orchestra in the park, river view, lovely runners. Definatly will recommend anyone, especially those who never ran before like me.. good route for the first time runners!! The special moment when we crossed the futbool stadium!!!

Well organised and enjoyable race with a superb atmosphere. I particularly enjoyed what they did with the weather! Nice touch shifting the Itchen Bridge to mile 11 and 12 this year, that allowed me to look forward to it for 10 miles so I didn't feel short changed! The only criticism would be the run up into town to finish detracted from the final enjoyment that the run downhill last year allowed! Looking forward to next year! The full one perhaps!?
