Well organised event that produced support from the local people all the way round the course. Great event which I will definitely do again next year.

The atmosphere of the event was amazing. Everything down to instructions before and after the events were helpful and I'll be joining up to do it again next year

Couple of days ago I completed the half marathon. This was my third year doing it, the route had been reversed and I preferred it! I found the beat the bridge was easier to do at the end knowing that on my way down the bridge I was heading towards the home straight! Really fantastic atmosphere, volunteers were excellent very supportive and very well organised considering the marathon, half marathon and 10k were running all at the same time! Big hats off to everyone involved in the organisation, never had any issues with this race, very impressed! Would definitely recommend!

Remove the itchen bridge.

Wanted to do a proper review, did the half last year and thought I'd come back this year to do the full 26.2, it was an incredible day! Don't have any downsides at all!

*great organisation even the hiccups before hand with bib numbers I had a a response the same day I emailed and all resolved within a day
*marathon warm up was fun proper got us in the mood
*race course was clearly marked out at no point was there any confusion on the route even when we were passing the finish to start the second lap
*was awesome meeting the 10k and half runners on the bridge, really picked up the atmosphere for me as I'm not a fast marathon runner I lost most my mates by then but by magic I bumped into a friend on the 10k really gave me a much needed boost!
*incredible supporters and marshals along the route especially for us slow runners on lap 2 of the marathon when they had been stood there im guessing for at least 6 hours or more yet still cheering like they knew us personally, especially the girls yelling out *well done Steph you beat the bridge TWICE* that encouragement meant so much at mile 23 when I was broken (and made me shed tears of joy haha)
*route was fun! Knew what I was signing up for when I saw it was a two lap route and having run it before, doing the bridge on mile 11 / 23 instead of mile 2 was a challenge but one I knew to expect
* medal is brilliant!
*t shirt is AWESOME!!!
*goody bag for me always means a bag of leaflets so I wasn't fussed about that! All I wanted was my **** and t shirt lol ?

My only feedback which isn't even a criticism because il be back for the half regardless next year! On the map it said the riverside water stop had energy gels but I didn't see these, would have been a cherry on top of an epic sundae to have had isotonic drinks / Coke along side water with maybe orange slices etc BUT like I said that woulda been a bonus not a deal breaker

THe race was well organised and I liked the pint at the end! However there was very bad etiquette from runners at the beginning - very slow runners starting right at the front and then held others up. The course was also a bit nasty - itchen bridge at mile 11 and then an uphill finish!

Thoroughly enjoyed the event, well organised and the marshals were brilliant, encouraging you all the way round. Volunteers at water stations were great too, although the 3rd water station at riverside (?) was a bit narrow with so many runners

Very well organised. Great atmosphere! Itchen bridge twice was a killer! Goodie bag at end could be better for an event of this size.

Great experience with my first, off many, run.

Race was fantastic and the support brilliant all along the course. The only thing I would say is, it wasn't too clear where runners had to be before the race, and we were told to hurry from the half marathon warm up to the race start- the warm up could have been 5 mins earlier

I really enjoyed the half marathon, even if the itchen bridge was an absolute killer!!!!! The only thing is I think there could have been an extra water station at some point along the race and also the atmosphere at the end of the race was a bit of an anti-******!!!
But overall, I loved it :)
