The Good: A generally well designed product which was released a bit too soon. It's totally neat to have a picture like frame display of ever-changing weather data and images on the wall. I like the fact that I can display the data from my weather station, and show and image from my weather cam.
The Bad: Why in the world would you associate a black wall wort with a 3' power cable with this system? What were they thinking? First, the power cable needs to be at least 5' in length, to mount the WW at the right height. Second, how many people have black walls to match the black power cable? How about white or almond power components, AW engineers?
Make the software compatible to show at least two weather stations. Why waste a beautiful weather display on just one weather station's data and images? I have two weather stations, and would like to toggle between the two. Others may want to display another's wx station, or the NWS data. Major software improvements needed here.

Ambient Weather Network Weather Window
Was easy to get set up. Had it up and running within 10 minutes of unboxing I’ve had it running now for about a week and I’ve had it show the server was down about three times. Hopefully that won’t continue other than that. I really have enjoyed it.

The good: A terrific product that fills a hole. Weather data on the wall in a beautiful package. A small painting, that is ever changing, and always of interest.
The bad: What was AW thinking with a black power supply with a 3' cord? It's going on the wall, for most folks, and the cord needs to be 5' at least. Black to match your black wall? How about white or almond for the power supply and the cord? Duh.
I want this unit to be able to toggle between at least two AW stations I have. It can't do that. Yea, it has "four pages" but those are just display variants for only one (1) station data being displayed. Major software update is needed. Also, you might want to display someone else's wx, or the NWS data.
All in all, glad I got it but some simple and not so simple fixes are needed here.

Extremely powerful weather station. Only challenge is finding a location free of interference from homes, trees, etc. but yet easy to access.

I love the WS5000 but no doubt you have to not only read the book, but you have to UNDERSTAND what you’re reading. This unit is sophisticated and your a novice(like I am)it will clearly take you some time to figure all the features this unit has..
