Ambient Weather WS-2801A Advanced Wireless Color Forecast Station with Temperature, Humidity and Barometer
Beautiful display, very accurate out of the box. Wish the barometer trend icons were larger, more visible at a quick glance. On setup, be sure to install the batteries in the REMOTE sensor FIRST! Then the display station SECOND. It will start up properly then.

I had a little trouble registering with Weather Underground but it all seems to be working fine now. It’s too early to really say, of course.

Ambient Weather WS-5000 Ultrasonic Professional Smart Weather Station & Thermo Hygrometer
We had purchased the WS2000 and shortly thereafter decided to upgrade to the 5000. We gave our kids the 2000 and they are thrilled to have it. The set up and installation was pretty easy and I'm somewhat tech savvy, so setting up the display wasn't too hard, except for that awful key board:-( I purchased the heater for the unit and was disappointed to learn that it only kept the anemometer from freezing, and not the rain gauge. We had an ice storm shortly after installation and the anemometer kept working through all of it. The rain gauge didn't register much precipitation until the weather started thawing. Then it did register some precip. We have a National Weather Service rain gauge about 15-18 feet from the Ambient and they never agree totally, but they are usually within a couple hundredths.

Great product but indoor temp display (red) is hard to read. Should be white or maybe yellow

RE recent purchase of 2902C replacement console, to replace a year old console I dropped, causing Baro Pres unstable readings….I was also provided the recent updated 3.0.1. Manual…For my need, getting new console connected to internet dashboard apps, I feel a special instruction sheet should be provided, on how to eliminate old console name and data, and logging in the new M A C ect…At this point I have a working system, the mis labeled on my internet dashboard…invested 6 hours on first attempt replacment…Scared about another attempt to rectify…Bud

Ambient Weather WS-5000-RAIN Replacement Rain Collector for WS-5000, WS-2000 Weather Stations
I ordered this attachment because I have a garden and recently our State has been in a drought condition and wished to see for myself the amount of water we receive in my area. We'll, it's been snowing almost non-stop since I Got this attachment, but there's been no reading on the gauge on the monitor. it turns out that there was a big chunk of ice intermingled with the filter coil for the collection cup. it's understandable how it happened, but a way to easily clear that condition or a way of heating it to melt the ice would be useful. Other than that, this is a remarkable item and it fulfills the curiosity aspect of how much rain did we get?
