Everything works except the lightning sensor. Twice now a lightning storm passed right over our house and it never recorded anything

Ambient Weather WS-5000 Ultrasonic Professional Smart Weather Station & Thermo Hygrometer
So far so good. Unboxing and set up was a breeze. I'm waiting to see if I really need the anemometer heater. Having to have an external power source for it is a pain and limits location options. Wish the console had a battery or battery pack. Ambientweather.net is well done. Wish I could customize tile size (only two sizes available, and location.

Ambient Weather Falcon WS-8480 Fan Aspirated Smart WiFi Weather Station with Remote Monitoring and Alerts
It was not as intuitive to get online with the PWS app or onto Wunderground. I was eventually able to get online with them though. The display is superior to anything else I’ve seen. Everything works as expected.

Set up is challenging after that it’s great. Ad says solar so you might think you need solar batteries, you don’t. You need both AA and AAA batteries, and they recommend LI Ion batteries for cold weather locations. You need a WI-FI that broadcasts in2.4, dual band worked for me. Also if you have WI-FI extenders you’ll need to unplug them. The app gives lots of info for outside and inside.

The station gives me very good indication of the current weather conditions.
It also helps me monitors sun radiation in order to calculate effectiveness of future solar panels installation.
